He frowned slightly, as if searching for words. “I want to kiss you, but all over your body. I’d like to put my lips and tongue on your skin. I want to see how every part of you tastes.”

“Oh! Yes, yes please!” His words sent a thrill down my spine. Would he eat me out? Fuck, I wanted that so bad. “I want to feel you too. Take the hoodie and shirt off please?”

“As you wish,” he agreed, looking pleased at my request. Most of my weight was resting on the deformed boxes, so when I let go of his neck, I didn’t need to worry about falling. He had to tug the hoodie and shirt out from where it was trapped by my legs because they were still wrapped around his waist.

My breath caught at the sight of his bare chest. He was nothing but smooth, pale skin stretched across pronounced muscles. Even his nipples were pale.

Without thinking, I put my hands on his pecs. His muscles twitched under my touch.

“No one has ever touched me before,” he whispered.

“Never?” I breathed, astonished. He was thousands of years old, how could he never have been touched?

“I never wanted anyone to touch me. No one has ever smelled as good as you.” He gasped as I rubbed my fingers over his taut nipples. His head dropped back, and he moaned. “Oh, please do that again.”

“You like this?” I murmured. I used my thumb and finger to gently tug one of his nipples. His body jerked and every muscle tensed. He pulled his arms up and locked his hands behind his head, as if to keep himself from grabbing me.

“Willow,” he breathed, his unearthly voice echoing in the small space. The way he said my name made me feel bold.

I leaned forward and sucked one of his nipples into my mouth. He was panting as if he’d been running a long distance. His skin was so hot, he’d be running a fever if he was human.

I licked my tongue over his nipple a few times before sucking on it again. His body clenched and shuddered. I thought about dipping my head lower so I could rub my face over his washboard abs. I was giving his nipple a last suck when he shouted, and his entire body jerked. I felt a wave of heat come off him, as if I was standing close to a heater.

It felt like electric sparks skittered across my skin and suddenly Vie wasn’t there anymore. My legs dropped to the floor, and I was forced to stand up and catch my balance as a few boxes fell around me at the sudden shift.

Vie reappeared in the doorway to the office, still naked from the waist up. He swept up his shirt and hoodie, his eyes wide and wild.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I don’t know. I-I–” he said as he fumbled to get his shirt and hoodie back on. Once they were on, and his hood was hiding his face again, he spoke one clear sentence.

“I’ll do better.”

Then he disappeared, and I knew I wouldn’t see him again tonight. The wet spot at the front of his jeans told me he’d had some fun, but his expression told me he didn’t know how to deal with it.

I was shaking from being turned on and then suddenly losing the source of my passion.

Letting out a long breath, I ran my fingers through my hair and chuckled. It was all so ridiculous. I’d just made an ancient creature jizz in his pants. It was both a disappointment and a compliment.

“It’s okay Vie, but next time it’s my turn.”

Chapter 6

Vie

Despite my deep sense of shame, I stayed with Willow until she was home and locked inside her shabby apartment. The moment I was sure she was safe, I floated up and hovered high in the sky over her building.

I debated what to do next.

Kissing her had been intoxicating. Then she’d put her mouth on me, and everything had happened without my conscious thought. I wanted to apologize to Willow for having such poor control over my body, but I hadn’t even realized I was capable of that!

I needed to talk to someone about this. The only brother I thought could help me was Sorrow.

It didn’t take me long to move in my mist form to Sorrow’s building. As usual, he was in his office. He sensed me the moment I entered through a vent in the wall. There was a man and woman sitting on a couch opposite him, clutching eachother’s hands. Both of them looked haggard, as if neither were getting enough sleep. They weren’t crying at the moment, but it was clear they’d been weeping earlier.

“I think this is a good place to stop for today,” Sorrow said, his voice the perfect calm he’d practiced for centuries.

“Yes,” the woman said, nodding her head. Her long braids escaped the loose knot she’d tied them in to flow around her shoulders. “Thank you, Teo. Talking to you has really helped.”

Her husband let go of her hands so he could rub her back. “I don’t know what we would’ve done without these sessions.”
