“Hey!”
Clover giggled, and I’d take the little jab at my dignity if it meant we’d earned that sound.
We all chuckled, relishing in the afterglow. My brain hadn’t been quiet like this in…ever. It was so much nicer than anything else we’d been up to and I was already thinking about when we could do this again. I wanted Clover around. I wantedthis.
Ease.
Pleasure.
A giggly goddess who demanded I fuck her and then submitted to it the second I got rolling.
I was getting ahead of myself. I knew that, but damn, a guy could get used to this in a hurry.
As I smoothed my hand up and down her arm, Logan did the same to her other side. She relaxed into the bed, into us, and everything felt so right with the world. It didn’t take long for Clover to doze off. I had no plans. I was in zero hurry to get anywhere that wasn’t here, so I wasn’t about to ruin the quick nap for her. She’d been through a lot, with both of us claiming her, and a bit of rest would help. When she woke up, we could go down to brunch and hope Jacques wouldn’t murder us for letting the food go cold. Sleep, snacks, and water were must-haves after a happy fucky pack session, even if we had to face down a pissed off chef to get them.
About twenty minutes later, Clover stirred, and I realized I’d fallen asleep too. Logan shuffled, revealing his own nap, and we all yawned.
Clover stretched. “I guess I needed that.”
I stroked Clover’s cheek, smiling over at her. “I think we all did. Now, how about we go eat? I have a feeling we all need that as well.”
“Oh, yes, please. I’m starving.” Clover beamed, a grin stretching her cheeks wide.
“Perfect. You get cleaned up, and we’ll handle the food. First, I gotta grab my clothes.” I looked over at Logan, who glanced between us like I’d suggested he run a marathon right now. “Right, Logan?”
“I’m getting up. Give me two seconds to regain consciousness.” He bobbed his head in a nod, his black hair all ruffled and wild, and sat up, stretching. “I’m going to be a little stiff after all that. Nothing like a good workout, but I definitely need a shower. Care to join me, Clover?”
“You go ahead. I need to work up the energy to move and I’ll join in a moment.” She closed her eyes again, and I soaked up her nakedness, the perky curves of her hips, and the swell of her breasts. She was stunning. No doubt about it. I hadn’t had much time to admire her when she had been blowing my mind in my car, so I took every second I could.
And, hell, as far as I was concerned, she was it for me. We’d have to have a talk about all that, but Clover was something else. Bonding, babies, and banging nonstop were in our future if I had anything to say about it.
Chapter 16
Clover
This was too much for my sleep-deprived, sex-addled brain. I needed to get out of here and recalibrate a bit, maybe take a shower long enough that I would run out of hot water to remove their scents so I could think clearly for half a second.
Two out of three of my most recent lovers were in a pack. If Hunter was secretly part of this pack, too, I was going to have some serious questions for the universe.
I yanked on my pink, sparkly dress and tiptoed out of the room while Logan was readying his shower and Avery was getting dressed for the day. I would’ve been into a fancy-ass brunch, but spending extra time with this pack when I was already feeling so unsteady seemed like a bad idea. I should go home, confess the whole thing to Meadow—minus Hunter, because I wasnottelling her I fucked her pack’s boss—and get her opinion on everything.
My dress was rumpled and my hair was in desperate need of a brush, but correcting either of those meant sticking around. I snatched one of Logan’s hoodies and with my shoes hooked over my fingertips, I focused on navigating the hallways. I hadn’t been paying nearly enough attention when Logan and I had raced up here last night. The house wasbeautiful. Cream walls, natural stone, exposed beams, and gorgeous views into the sprawling yard.
It took me a hot second to find the stairs and even longer to get down them without making a peep. My legs shook like I was a newborn foal. I thought about sinking down and butt-scooting the whole way, but my pride was a little stubborn for that. I settled for clinging to the banister.
“Is Logan really letting you walk-of-shame out of here?” a familiar voice asked from behind me, making me freeze in place. “Do you have a safe way home? You’re welcome to grab some breakfast from the kitchen before you go.”
I spun around, locking eyes with the hot-but-angry redhead whose car I’d glitter-bombed. He looked as much a deer-in-the-headlights as I felt.
Oh god. Had I manifested all of my fantasy men into the same house? Was Hunter hiding behind one of these doors too? That would be just my luck.
“You?” Red choked out.
“Me?” I squeaked back.
I wanted to bolt, but honestly, I was lucky I was still upright.
“Are you the single mom Logan told us about? You have kids?”
