“B-Live Aura is now live globally.”

There were no dramatic pauses and no cues for applause.

Behind the speaker, the main screen transitioned to a clean and minimalist display. A singular QR code emerged on the panel screen, appearing simultaneously on digital displays throughout the conference area and gently mirrored within the B-Live Aura booth.

Attendees instinctively scanned the code. Screens illuminated, browsers initiated, and international connections began to form. Orders commenced to be placed for various services including hotels, spas, and wellness curators. This was not a moment of excitement, but rather a confirmation of success.

By the conclusion of the day, the tone of discussions shifted. The media framed the narrative as “Launched globally from a global stage.”

B-Live Aura did not approach the global market with fanfare; rather, it entered seamlessly, already establishing a sense of belonging.

Thus, we concluded our inaugural successful international conference. I felt immense gratitude for the journey, the results, and the individuals who supported us quietly from the periphery. As we returned to the hotel, the three of us reflected on the day's experiences, pleased with the outcomes and appreciative of the developments that had transpired.

“Everything proceeded smoothly today,” I remarked, feeling a warmth in my chest. “I am genuinely pleased with the results.”

“Our first international conference,” Karan stated with a contented smile. “It is indeed a memorable experience.”

“However, I do not comprehend the necessity of remaining another day when our tasks are already complete,” Reyansh interjected. “Our return flight is scheduled for the day after tomorrow.”

“That is since our Strategic Partnerships division has meetings arranged with several global clients tomorrow,” Karan clarified. Disappointment momentarily flickered in Reyansh's eyes, but his expression brightened with quiet understanding.

“Oh no, Karan,” Reyansh remarked with a playful tone. “I had hoped we would explore the city tomorrow; it appears you will be absent.” I contemplated when this decision had been made.

“That is acceptable,” I interjected gently. “He will join us for dinner, correct?”

Karan nodded affirmatively. “Certainly. I dislike missing out on the day, Amyra, but I won’t miss dinner at the same restaurant tomorrow.” I feel a twinge of sadness watching him juggle work while we get to explore.

Suddenly, his phone rings. His expression turns serious. “My mentor,” he says. “Excuse me.”

He hurries toward the hotel entrance as Reyansh and I step into the elevator. My gaze drops to the outfit I chose for today. I straighten my black tailored blazer, the clean lines framing my soft grey top, wide-legged black trousers falling effortlessly. Understated. Polished. Power without trying. White slip-ons ground the look, practical yet sharp, exactly what this conference demanded of me.

Then I look at Reyansh.

A dark blazer over a black tee, sleeves relaxed, fit unapologetically perfect. Black jeans. Worn leather boots. Hands tucked casually into his pockets as if confidence comes naturally to him. Nothing loud. Everything is commanding when it comes to him. I hate how easily my gaze lingers and how effortlessly he looks devastatingly sexy by just standing quietly.

“Come on,” he says as the elevator doors open. We walk toward our suites, stopping briefly in the corridor.

“Are we really hanging out tomorrow?” I ask, caught between excitement and confusion.

“Yes. I’ll plan everything and tell you when we start,” he says easily. “How can we miss exploring such a cool city?”

“Why not?” I match his enthusiasm, knowing it’s less about the city and more about spending the day with him.

After a long time.

“Let’s forget life, stress, and work,” he continues calmly. “Let’s explore the city like the best friends we used to be. I miss that version of us, and tomorrow feels perfect to reconnect.” I see it then, how much he misses us. And so I decide to do the same. To forget my unrequited love, his relationship with Aditi, and everything.

Just for one day.

“Deal,” I say softly. “Let’s create new memories.”

He nods. “Okay, Ames. I’ll plan everything and let you know.”

“Sure, Rey. Bye.” We head into our respective suites. I lock the door and sink onto the sofa, his words replaying in my mind. This might be my once-in-a-lifetime chance to spendan entire day with Reyansh before life pulls him away, before relationships redefine boundaries.

I’ll cherish the moments we create together, weaving memories that will endure long after they’ve passed. These are the treasures I’ll carry back home to India, vivid recollections that will fill my heart with joy whenever I think of them.

For now, the anticipation of spending an entire day with him by my side fills me with excitement. And in that precious time, I vow that absolutely nothing will break our sacred bubble of togetherness.
