“Same here,” Colin said. “I know we agreed to take our time, and I’m fine with it. But as far as I’m concerned, we’re together, and nothing is going to stop us from being together.”
Reggie stared at Colin, as did I, and my heart was in total agreement with his words. It was amazing just a few days ago I thought I’d never see my spark again. I’m so thankful Fate had different plans.
Reggie stayed quiet and glanced back and forth between Colin and me. I wondered what he was thinking and hoped we didn’t come on too strong. We only told the truth.
Thankfully, Colin and I didn’t have to wait long to hear his thoughts.
“Then why wait?” he said.
“What?” Colin asked as I scrunched my brow. Was he saying….
“Why wait? I feel exactly the same way. Let’s do it. Let’s bond.”
Chapter Fourteen
Reggie
Icouldn’tbelieveI’djust said that. What the hell was I thinking? Holy shit. I’d just told them I was ready to bond. Oh, my god.
“Reggie, are you sure?” Colin asked, and Zander clasped my hand.
Was I sure? I knew what they said was the truth. I didn’t want to be apart from these two men. They had wormed their way into my heart, even after knowing them for a short time.
A loud knock stopped my reply, and I looked at the door. Zander growled at the interruption.
“Mon chou? Are you sure?” Colin asked, ignoring another knock.
“Shouldn’t you get—”
“They can wait. This is more important,” Colin interrupted.
I glanced back and forth between Colin and Zander, neither of them moving as another bang sounded. They weren’t going to move without an answer.
“I’m sure. I’m ready.”
The smiles on their faces were instantaneous. Another knock on the door sounded and I was the one to growl. I wanted to spend time with my…my mates.
Colin groaned as he stood and stomped to the door. “What?” he snapped, yanking it open.
“Master Stephen,” he stammered.
“Sorry to interrupt, Colin. May we come in?” the smooth voice asked.
Colin stepped aside. “Yes, of course. We uh…”
The handsome blond-haired man stepped into the room, followed by an equally handsome dark-haired man. But it was the third figure that made me stiffen in my seat.
Oh crap. King Gael, I thought. But luckily, the king’s son wasn’t with him too. It was him I was really worried about. He was the one that was calling me fat—no, I’m not going to think of what he called me.
“I wanted to wait until morning, but King Gael insisted we speak tonight,” Master Stephen said.
“Yeah, Sparkles was getting in a tizzy,” the dark-haired man laughed.
He was the same man that had gold scales appear on his skin. It was his power that really caused me to run down the hall.
“Damn it, Krispin. Stop calling me that,” Gael snapped.
Krispin just smirked, clearly enjoying the reaction he'd elicited.
