“No,” Zander said again firmly. “You did not cause this. We both played a part in how things went.”
Zander took a deep breath. “With that said. We all have a lot to talk about. I know Reggie probably has plenty of questions about the paranormal, and I have some questions about why you didn’t say anything. I know it goes against our nature, but I think we need to take this bonding slow.”
He was right, as much as I wanted to claim them both. We had a lot to talk about and I knew I had to come clean. I had to tell them about my relationship with Daren. That scared the crap out of me.
I wiped a stray tear from my cheek. “Please give me a chance to explain. Don’t run away.”
“No running,” Zander replied.
“I’ll try not to run. This is all scary to me,” Reggie said honestly.
He was biting his lip, and his gaze was fixed on the scars that marred Zander’s body. I nodded my head.
“I won’t ever hurt you and will never feed from either of you again without your permission,” I vowed.
Reggie began to nod but stopped and tilted his head. “Won’t you go hungry? Wait…what do you mean again?”
“Yesterday and this morning, when you felt that intoxicating rush, that was me feeding,” I replied.
“You what? When? How?”
Zander began to chuckle. “Did you two have sex?”
Reggie’s eyes widened. “You fed from me during—Did you bite my dick? Was that the pinch I felt?”
I felt my face heat. I did bite his dick. Zander laughed harder, and I glared at him.
“Oh my god! Do I have bite marks on my dick?” Reggie said, pulling down his pants. The sight of Reggie’s dick caused my own to harden. Zander had stopped laughing and stared at Reggie as he examined his shaft.
“I can take a closer look for you, if you’d like,” Zander said, his voice going deep.
Reggie’s head jerked up, and his face blushed. He grabbed his pants and pulled them up. “Uh… sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, mon chou. We enjoyed the show,” I said.
Reggie was now the one to glare. “No biting my dick anymore.”
I tipped my head. “Unless you ask me to.”
“I won’t be asking you,” he snapped back.
Zander smiled at me. He knew what I knew. The vampire bite was pleasurable, and Reggie would ask me to bite him again. Pain shot through my chest as I looked back at Zander’s body. I’d kill Daren for what he did.
Zander must’ve felt my gaze because he snapped his fingers and was instantly clothed again. His skin returned to the vibrant blue color I was used to. I stared at him, and he gave me a small smile. My heart pounded fast. I knew it was time I stopped running from my past. I had to share my pain and shame with my beloveds.
I opened my mouth to speak, but a scent filled my nostrils. I jerked around. “Merde!”
I hurried around to the stove and yanked the pan off the flame. The bacon had turned into charred bits.
“Aw, the poor bacon.”
I lifted my head, and Reggie’s expression was filled with devastation. I smiled. My little human loved his bacon.
“I can fix it,” Zander said, lifting his hand.
I reached out and stopped him from snapping. “It’s okay. Just like this bacon, sometimes things burn, and they get ruined. But we can always start over and make it right. So, what do you say we start fresh?”
I held my breath, waiting for their responses. I prayed they understood my meaning that I wanted to fix our relationship.
