The hallway outside the auditorium is empty except for me and the soft thud of my heartbeat in my ears.
I lean against the wall, straining to hear anything through the heavy doors. Doc's been in there for forty-five minutes giving his presentation. Forty-five minutes of me pacing, sitting, standing, pacing again, and generally being a useless mess.
