“I’m so glad. I thought it was only me. I know it’s still early and not even twenty-four hours since our first official scene, and now I have to leave you already for work, but Curtis, I feel the same. What we have is something great, something I want to keep no matter what. I think I’ve never been so happy in my life.”
Curtis felt a huge weight lifted from his shoulders. This was good. They had something special together, and they were both willing to explore it further. An entire battalion of butterflies took off in his stomach.
“Thank you, Andrew.” He stuck out his chin in determination. “I’m going to make you tea.”
Andrew kissed him again. “Promise me you’ll go back to sleep once I’m gone. You look horrible.”
“And here I thought you felt something for me. Thank you so much, Andrew.” Curtis mock-glared at his Dom and pressed a hand on the general area where his heart was. Andrew laughed out loud.
“I didn’t mean it in a bad way. You’re adorable, even when you look horrible. I’m just concerned. There’s so many wonderful things I have planned for you, things you need all your strength for. They won’t even be half as much fun if you’re tired.”
Curtis’s cock took a definite interest. “Congratulations. Now I’m horny. Do you really have to go?”
“Unfortunately, yes, boy. You’re not allowed to touch yourself, just in case you were wondering.”
“That’s not fair!” Curtis knew he was whining. It was early, he still felt a delicious sore spot in his ass whenever he moved, Andrew was standing naked in front of him, promising him naughty delights, and he couldn’t do anything about his boner, because his Dom had forbidden it. It was perfect.
“You love it. Besides, this gives you added incentive to see me again as soon as possible.”
“I don’t need added incentive. I don’t want you to go.” Curtis pouted. He hadn’t done that in forever and it felt great.
“Go make me my tea, boy. I’ll phone later, when you’re fully awake.” Another kiss on the tip of his nose, and Andrew vanished into the bathroom.
Sighing, Curtis tried to ignore his hard-on and went into the kitchen. He didn’t bother putting on clothes. Andrew should see what he was missing out on.
WHEN CURTISentered the gallery, Patty raised her perfectly shaped brows. “You’re floating. The sex must have been good.”
Curtis stuck his tongue out. “If you must know, Mrs. Nosy, the sex was great. So great, in fact, that I even got up at the butt crack of dawn to make Andrew some tea.”
Patty’s face fell. “You mean he was with you till today?”
“Yes. Why? What’s going on?”
“Nothing bad, I hope.” Patty didn’t look happy anymore. “There was a delivery for you this morning, white and red roses with chocolate. I thought it was from Andrew—that’s why I signed them off and took them to your office.”
Curtis closed his eyes. “I guess there was no return address?”
“No. But the flowers came with a letter.”
Patty followed Curtis into his office, where the roses awaited him in a tasteful vase of blue glass. For a moment Curtis nurtured the thought that Andrew was the most thoughtful boyfriend in the world who had ordered those flowers for him before they even had their date. A closer look at the chocolate and the letter destroyed those hopes. It was Island Sea Salt chocolate from Ocelot Chocolate, a brand that was hard to get in the States, and the envelope was of the thick variety that cost an arm and a leg and always made Curtis think ofMisery. He also recognized the handwriting of his name in bold letters. “Jasper,” he murmured.
Patty took her cell phone out, pressed speed dial, and put it on speaker when her wife picked up.
“Patty, darling, is something the matter?”
“Hi, baby. Yes, I’m afraid so. You’re on speaker and Curtis is here.”
“Curtis, hello, how are you?” Linda sounded pleasant, but Curtis could almost see her furrowed brows.
“Hi, Linda. I was fine until a few minutes ago. How much has Patty told you about my current men situation?”
Linda laughed. “You’re dating a hottie who apparently makes macarons so good my dear wife is willing to ignore all her carefully calculated dietary plans for a taste of them.”
Patty winked suggestively in Curtis’s direction. He decided to ignore her. Andrew was his. So were the macarons. “Yes, that’s accurate and actually the good part. Did she tell you about my ex?”
“The sleazebag who visited you unannounced? Yes. Is he causing trouble?” A hint of steel had crept into Linda’s voice. She was definitely going into full-on lawyer mode. Curtis stared at the roses.
“I’m not sure if sending roses and pricey chocolate qualifies as ‘causing trouble.’ Except I don’t want presents from him. It creeps me out. I don’t want him to contact me at all.”
