He asks me and I get nervous but for some reason my nerves begin to ease as he rubs my back.

That's right he isn’t Maxwell; he wouldn’t hurt me. I smile and pull him into a kiss, he hesitates for a moment due to a bit of shock. I have never kissed him first before but, I know he isn’t my past, and with him I can be my true self.

He kisses me back and licks my lips asking permission, I open my mouth giving him access and our tongues dance together. The taste of Apples and mint, I can’t help but smile and pull away from the kiss.

I look at him and he’s finally smiling.

“Finally,”

I say without realizing I said it aloud.

“What is it?”

He cocks his head.

“You’re finally smiling a real smile.”

I tell him and he looks taken aback when he realizes what I said.

“I’m sorry Lillypad just had a lot on my mind since-”

“Since last night?”

I cut him off. He reaches out to put a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

“Yeah, baby since last night.”

He holds my face, and I lean into his hand kissing the palm of it. His eyes begin to grow dark, and I start to become flustered.

He notices my reaction and flashes his smirk at me knowing I grow weak when I see it,

“Not here Lillypad soon though I promise.”

He tells me in my ear. I shiver and look him in his eyes and want to kiss him, but I hear Mary shout at me.

“Lilly! The Epic Musical is in town! We should see it tonight!”

I look over to Mary and I get excited. I look over at Adonis and he is smiling at me.

“What?”

I ask him and he pulls me in closer.

“What’s this musical about?”

He asks me and I become a kid in a candy store explaining why chocolate is the best.

“It’s a concept musical about Odysseus; it’s about the trials he faces on his journey to get back to his son and wife.”

I tell him and he nods with every word I say.

“But we can’t go.”

I say and Mary looks sad.

“Why can’t we?”

Adonis says and I look him in the eyes.
