I tell them as I recall the fight. I smelt so much blood and could hear the bones in Maxwell's face crunching. Adonis was so upset; he was upset for me.
My heart fluttered at the thought of him protecting me.
“So, what are we going to wear to this Gala? I think Liam said it was a Masquerade?”
Mary says to me, and I look over at her.
“Wait, the boys asked y’all already?”
I asked them and they both nodded. I cross my arms and pout.
“I wanted to be the one to tell you guys!”
I tell them and they laugh.
“Oh, come on Lills, it’s fine, but seriously you have nothing to wear!”
Elizabeth says and I groan.
“Adonis said he would take me to find a dress.”
I tell them and they both go wide-eyed.
“Did he really?”
Mary gasps and Elizabeth rubs her forehead.
“Relax guys it’s not like he asked me to marry him or anything.”
I smirk at them. They both end up squealing and laughing with me. I can’t help but think about Adonis and hope he is ok.
Honestly, I wish I could have seen him, so I know he was ok. I wanted to stop him, but I couldn't because I wasn't strong enough. I hope he ices his hand.
Adonis
I get to the warehouse and put on my black leather gloves. Something I should have done the moment I started beating the shit out of Maxwell. I enter the warehouse and see Noah and Liam are already laying things down as needed. I see Maxwell groaning in the corner.
“I see he is still alive. Good, this will be fun.”
I tell them and they both nod. I walk up to Maxwell and pull his hair lifting his head so I can look into his eyes. He tries to open his swollen eyes but can’t and I smirk, I hit him again and he spits out blood landing on my shoe.
“Tch now you’ve done it, these are my favorite pair of shoes. I met Lillian when I had these on. They became rather lucky, you see.”
I say as I go behind him.
“Now tell me, where is the money you owe my father hmm?”
I ask him and he mumbles something.
“What was that?”
I ask and he says in a groan.
“Fuck you, your father and I had a deal. Lillian's life for mine.”
I smirk at him and hit him again.
“How pathetic can you be? Do you honestly believe my father would accept such a deal?”
