“So ghostie can I get your name?”
I sigh.
“You just don’t give up do you?”
“Nope never have in my life.”
“And you won’t just let it go?”
“Never.”
He says with a smile, and I can’t help but chuckle.
“I’m Lillian, Lillian Han. My friends call my Lilly.”
I say as I extend my hand out from under the sheet. He reaches for it and the moment we connect I feel a jolt of electricity surge through me. His hands have calluses but are warm and strong.
“Lilly, I like it.”
I take my hand back and roll my eyes.
“I said my friends call me Lilly.”
“What are we not friends?”
“No, we are not.”
“Oh, come on,”
He says and I chuckle as he almost hits his head on an open cabinet.
“God you are insufferable.”
He smirks at me, and I roll my eyes.
“Well, it was nice meeting you Adonis.”
I say and pick up the drink to head back to the girls.
“Here let me help you with those.”
He says and takes two of the drinks from me. When he does, our hands graze each other, and I feel another jolt of electricity.
“Oh, thank you.”
Lillian
We walk back to Mary and Liz, and they both seem to be caught off guard when I walk up with Adonis.
“Lilly, who's your friend?” Liz says, looking Adonis up and down like she will bury him just for breathing on me.
“Adonis, I wanted to see if I could steal Ghostie away for a bit?” he suddenly asked. I could see Liz wanted to say no, but Mary happily nodded and let him whisk me off.
“Why do you want to dance with me?”
I ask him not sure why he has even approached me, out of all the girls here, he sought me out. Why?
“I Wanted to dance with you ghostie. Is that wrong?”
