The last of the picnic remnants were tucked away in the basket, and Liam and I sat side by side on the plush blanket, the moonlight casting silver rays upon us. The sound of the waterfall created a soothing melody, enchanting me to the core. I glanced at Liam, his strong features softened by the gentle light, and my heart swelled with happiness.
"Tell me about yourself, Erica," Liam said, his voice low and inviting.
"Um, how about we play a game instead?" I countered, suddenly nervous about sharing my past.
"Let's play twenty questions."
"Twenty questions?" Liam raised an eyebrow. "How do you play that?"
"Each of us asks a question and both of us answer it. We each get ten questions. They could be about favourite things or stuff like that," I explained, hoping to keep things light and fun. Liam's eyes glinted mischievously, but he nodded in agreement.
"Sounds interesting. You go first."
"Alright, let's start," I said, feeling a strange mixture of excitement and apprehension. "What's your favourite colour?"
"Easy," Liam replied with a grin. "Dark green. Reminds me of the forest. Yours is purple right?"
“Yeah, how did you know?” I asked. He pulled at my top and smiled.
“I can be observant.” He paused for a moment before asking his first question.
"What's your most vivid sexual fantasy?" I nearly choked on my own spit.
"Liam!" I exclaimed, blushing furiously. "That's not what I meant by 'favourites and stuff.'"
"Come on, baby," he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "We're supposed to be getting to know each other, right? You can't expect me to pass up an opportunity like this."
"Fine," I muttered, trying my best to keep my composure. "I've always been intrigued by the idea of being intimate outdoors, surrounded by nature." It was true, although I'd never admitted it aloud before.
"Interesting," Liam mused, looking genuinely pleased. “I love to take control,” he said while meeting my eyes, “To restrain you to my bed, and then you give over everything to me.” I gulped at the thought of what this man could do if I let him. The longer he held my eyes the hotter I felt. Finally he broke the tension with a mischievous grin, "Your turn."
"Okay," I said, attempting to regain some control of the conversation. "What's your favourite book?"
"Dracula," he answered without hesitation. "Now, what's the most adventurous thing you've ever done in bed?" I couldn't help but laugh at his determination to keep things steamy.
"Well, there was this one time when I tried out some light bondage..." I trailed off, my face burning even brighter than before.
"Really?" Liam said, his voice low and smooth. "Sounds exciting."
"Alright." I took a deep breath, searching for a suitable query. "What's your favourite season?"
"Autumn," Liam answered without hesitation. "I love the changing colours, the crisp air, and the way everything feels alive before winter sets in. How about you?"
"Spring," I replied dreamily. "There's something magical about seeing the world come back to life after a long, cold winter."
"Good choices," Liam murmured, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Your turn again," I reminded him quickly, eager to shift the focus away from me.
"Alright," he said with a smirk. "What's the kinkiest thing you've ever wanted to try?"
"Are all your questions going to be about sex?" I asked, exasperated.
"Maybe," he replied, looking completely unrepentant. "You did say we're supposed to be getting to know each other, and I think this is a pretty important aspect of any relationship."
"Fine," I sighed, feeling both annoyed and intrigued by his persistence. "I've always been curious about role-playing."
"Ah, the allure of fantasy," Liam murmured, his eyes darkening with desire. "Tell me, what roles would you like to play?"
