Everything about Aspen was fucking magic. From the sounds she made that shot straight into his chest to the way she gave herself to him so freely.

She was everything he hadn’t realized he’d been waiting for. Everything he hadn’t realized he needed. And he did need her. All of her, all the time.

She started lifting her hips, meeting him thrust for thrust.

Shit, he was close, but he needed to feel her break apart first.

He moved his hand from her breast to her clit and stroked.

The cry that spilled from her lips gutted him. He swiped again, this time applying a bit more pressure as he circled her clit with his thumb. He lowered his head and took a nipple between his lips again and sucked hard.

Her body arched off the sheets. Then she screamed as her muscles tensed, her fingers grabbing and pulling at his hair as she splintered. He released her nipple and lifted his head, his eyes going to her face as he continued to thrust. Watching as she fell apart.

Fucking gorgeous. All of her.

He quickened his pace, taking her deeper, his thumb never stilling over her clit, wanting to drag out her orgasm as long as he could.

She yanked him close, sinking her teeth into his shoulder. The bite of pain sent him over the edge. He fucking shattered, growling as her walls throbbed around him.

He kept thrusting, not stopping until he had nothing left. Until every ounce of strength and energy were gone and it was just the sounds of their heaving breaths in the room.

He dropped beside her and tugged her against him.

What the hell had just happened? He’d known being with Aspen would be good. But that wasn’t just good. It went deeper than that. It was a feeling of rightness that he’d never experienced in his life. A connection that touched parts of him that had never been touched.

He kissed her forehead. It was all he could do because he didn’t have words. Hell, he wasn’t even sure if therewerewords after what they’d just shared.

Like she was the same, she also remained silent, sinking deeper into his side.

He closed his eyes and let the moment slip over him. Tonight had changed things, and there was no going back.

CHAPTER 19

Athumb swiped Aspen’s hip. It was warm and gentle and made her skin tingle. Her eyes remained closed as soft thuds beat against her ear.

A heartbeat.

Jesse’s heartbeat.

Her eyes popped open to see a large bare chest beneath her cheek. Her arm was slung over a hard stomach, and even though her legs were beneath the sheets, she could feel Jesse’s tangled with hers.

She’d had sex with Jesse last night. She’d hadfreaking sexwith Jesse last night.

She scrunched her eyes closed, and moments from the previous night flashed back in her head. His lips on hers. His hands everywhere.

But it hadn’t felt like just sex. It’d felt like more than that. Deeper.

Old fear gripped her heart, squeezing, almost cutting off the air from her lungs.

No. She couldn’t let fear control her forever. That meant Dylan won. Yes, she’d gotten into a bad relationship. Yes, theman she’d been dating had turned out to be someone completely different.

Jesse wasn’t like that.

But what if she hadn’t seen every part of him?

“Aspen?”

Her head shot up, eyes wide as they collided with Jesse’s.
