Reaching up, he cupped her breasts and pinched her nipples.
She screamed and quickened her thrusts.
He lowered one hand between her thighs to stroke her clit. Her body tightened around him, her movements becoming harder. Faster. He did it again, using his thumb to draw circles around her bud.
“Kayden…I can’t…”
He rolled her nipple between his thumb and finger, desperate to see her lose herself.
One more stroke of her clit, and she screamed and shattered, her walls hugging his cock so fucking hard that it was almost torture as she broke. His hips started moving of their own accord, thrusting into her at a new speed, a new force, prolonging her orgasm as she continued to cry and shake, her hands steadying herself on his chest.
Then he lost all sense of time and space as his body broke, and he fell along with her. But he didn’t stop thrusting. His hips kept lifting, trying to get deeper, losing a part of himself as his world narrowed to just Tilly.
Until, finally, there was stillness as she toppled onto his chest.
Long beats of silence passed as she just lay on him, their breathing ragged while he was still seated deep inside her. He wrapped an arm around her back and his other hand cupped her head.
This woman…this damn woman…what did she do to him?
He’d had his share of women before, but nothing had ever felt likethat. Nothing like her.
“Kayden…”
Her whispered voice pricked through the haze, and he brushed some hair from her face as he looked at her. “Yeah, honey?”
“That was so much more than I ever thought it could be.”
That was the thing, though—he’d knownexactlywhat it would be like if they got together, right from the first time they’d met. He’d just been running from it. Because he’d known the second he had her, the second she became his, there’d be no shifting back.
CHAPTER 17
Tilly’s lips were curved up as she typed out the email. The visitors center had been open for a couple of days, but that wasn’t what had her smiling—it was everything that came before today, and all of it involved Kayden.
Since their first night together, he’d come to her house every evening. Spent every night in her bed. And God, those nights…they were memories that were cemented into her head, never to be erased. Every time he touched her, held her, she felt this thing she’d never felt with anyone else before. It was a mixture of safety and security and something else…something deeper that she didn’t want to name just yet.
She cursed under her breath when she realized she’d made three spelling errors in one sentence. Dammit. She was trying to concentrate, but Kayden had gotten so deep into her head that she couldn’t even spell.
They certainly hadn’t told anyone at work. Sometimes, when she walked past him and got a wink or a small smile, she felt like his dirty secret. But she didn’t really have the right to feel that way, did she? Because she hadn’t initiated a conversation about what they were doing either, or said she wanted to let people at work know they were dating.
She’d just finished reading over the email and correcting a million little errors when a knock came at the door. She swiveled around to see Harper standing there.
Crap, was it lunchtime already? She lifted her phone. Yep, twelve.
Harper grinned. “Ready to eat? I’m starving.”
“I am always ready to eat.” Even when she forgot the time, her stomach eventually reminded her. Rising from her desk, she grabbed her purse and moved to the door.
Harper pulled her into a hug. “It’s so good to see you. I’m sorry this lunch couldn’t come sooner.”
They’d struggled to find time together, with her working days and Harper evenings. “But we got here eventually.”
“Yes, we did.”
They headed out of the office, and Pixie smiled at them from behind the desk. “Off to lunch?”
“Yes, looking forward to Elle feeding us. Would you like me to bring you anything?”
She shook her head. “No, I’m good, thanks. I’ll take my break when you get back. Have fun.”
