“Oh goody. Call me and let me know when.”

“Meet me at the door, Rim. Let me go tell my baby bye.” I tossed over my shoulder, moving toward the front room.

“Yo, you’re leaving?” G asked, everyone’s eyes on me.

“Yeah. Y’all ain’t on shit and I’m hungry.”

“It’s food in there, Reminisce,” Beyah responded.

“Nah sis, that ain’t food. Those are snacks and I ain’t fucking with it,” I tossed over my shoulder, moving toward the back to my baby.

We ended up leaving about fifteen minutes later, heading toward the tattoo parlor first then to get food. I was trying to eat food then her and in that fucking order. I just had to do what I had already been thinking about since my brother said he was keeping Ro tonight.

“Where are we going to eat?” Karim asked while I drove.

“Shit, I don’t know. We about to go get this ink done. Where you getting my name tattooed?”

I could tell she was taken aback.

“You know I was just playing right?”

With one of my hands on her thigh and the other gripping the steering wheel, I shook my head. “Sure, you were. Too late, bae. Now where are you getting it, bae?”

She laughed. “Where do you want me to get it, Reminisce?”

“Visible.”

More laughter ensued. “Unlike you, I don’t do face tattoos, baby.”

“I know that. Your face is too pretty for ink or anything, but right here. I’d love that, in red ink.” I ran my finger across the space on the side of her neck where I wanted my name.

She bit into her lip before turning her face and looking directly at me. “Fine and when my mama loses her shit, I’ma let her know it was your idea.”

I laughed, zooming through a yellow light and making a sharp right into the parking lot of the shop I had gotten my last two pieces from. “Bullshit, your mama loves me.”

“Not when she looks up and sees you’ve branded her baby.”

I laughed. “What, you wanna turn around?”

“Nope. Because I want my name right here.” She pressed her hand where my lining started. “Then I wanna go back to your place and feed you some of this.” Her other hand was between her legs.

I almost fucking choked when she said that, but I was with whatever the fuck she needed. “You been tryna feed me pussy all weekend, Karim.”

“Sure have. You’ve been hungry all weekend, right?”

I chuckled, backing into the park. “Remember you said that.” I gave her one last look once the car was off, then I got out and moved to her side to open the door. Once she was out, she stuffed her hand in mine and I led the way to the shop entrance.

“When I buy you a coat, you better fucking wear it, because it’s obvious you aren’t going to get yourself one.”

“Why are you buying me a coat when I don’t need one, Rim?”

“Because we’re supposed to get a snowstorm and you’re gonna need one to shovel the snow from in front of my house.”

When I looked at her, she was grinning. “Who’s been doing it?”

“Me.”

“Aight, I got you.” I smirked, reaching for the door. I held it open for her to enter first before I entered behind her. As soon as the door closed, I heard the click, which meant he was all over the security side as always. The spot was lowkey, and on some private shit, and that was why I fucked with it. He didn’t take walk-ins nor did he do all that kicking it shit. As a matter of fact I didn’t even know how the nigga made money because it was hard to get an appointment with him. The only way I knew his work or got his contact was through Indiri one evening when we didn’t take the party in early. I’d shot him a text earlier, before we went to my brother’s spot, since he was out this way. One thing Karim had to understand about me was I didn’t say or do anything I didn’t mean.
