The sound of the elevator dinging interrupts him, and then a second later, we hear Saint. “Okay.” He claps his hands, returning to the basement. “Where were we?”

My phone starts vibrating in my pocket, and I pull it out to seeMy Lifelight up the screen. “One sec,” I tell them and answer. “Hello, angel. Miss me already?”

“I’m bored.”

I smile at her choice of words. “Bored?” I give the guys my back. “What do you want me to do about that?”

“Play with me.” Her breathing picks up at her answer.

“Head to my house,” I command. “I’ll call you back in a minute.”

“What? Kash?—”

I hang up and turn to face the guys while I walk backward toward the elevator. “I have to go. I’ll be back tomorrow.” I wave to them as they call out my name. My girl wants me to play with her. I’m not going to ignore her. She comes first. Before anything. Plus, the prisoners we have aren’t going anywhere.

I can only imagine how much courage it took for her to make that call. She waited until she was in the car. Otherwise, she would have asked me in the elevator. She’s coming out of her shell for me. Wanting to be used more.

She’s getting comfortable with me, and I love that. Eve still gets down on herself afterward, but that’s okay. We’ll work on it together. I’ll continue to remind her that it’s okay to enjoy being my toy.

EVERETT

I back into his driveway across from my house when my cell rings. I remain sitting in my car while I answer. “Why am I at your house?” I look at mine through my windshield.

“You want me to play with you, Eve. That means you do as I say.”

My thighs tighten and I nod. “I understand.”

“There’s a spare key under the welcome mat. Let yourself in.”

I have a moment of panic that he’s going to lock me in the collar and chain me in the basement, but a part of me also wants that. I want him to grab me by the hair, drag me down the stairs, and make me his pet. Force me to like it. I knew the possibilities before I made the call. That it could be days before I see sunlight again.

I’m desperate for whatever he wants to do to me. The trip to Las Vegas opened my eyes. I am jealous of girls from his past. Well, everyone except for Ashtyn. But all the others before me—yeah. I want him to myself. I want to know what it feels like for something to be all mine.

“Now, Eve,” he orders, making me jump.

Turning off the car, I wait for my Bluetooth to disconnect and then grab my phone. When I get out of my car, I see a neighbor waving at me with a hose in his hand while he waters his garden. “Hello, Eve, how are you?”

I nod and mumble to Kashton. “Who the fuck is this guy?”

“Just ignore him,” he says into my ear, also hearing the neighbor through my phone. As if I’d speak to him. I hardly talk to people that I like.

I pick up the mat, grab the key, and unlock the front door. “I’m inside.”

“Lock the door and go to my room. It’s past the kitchen and at the end of the hallway, through the double doors.”

My heels clap on the marble floor as I make my way through the house. He’s purchased some furniture, but the walls are still bare and there aren’t any rugs.

I enter his bedroom and flip on the light. He has a black bedroom set that consists of two dressers and two nightstands. The large size of the room makes the furnishings look small. No linens or curtains on the windows. It’s bare other than the furniture. “Okay.”

“Go over to the nightstand closest to the bathroom, open the top drawer.”

Doing as I’m told, my heart races at what I see. It’s full of several different types of items that can be used to restrain…me? Some I’ve never seen before.

It makes me nervous.

“Eve?” Kashton’s voice makes me jump.

“Yeah?” I blink, trying to swallow the nervousness of what he plans on doing to me. This is what I wanted. To be his toy. For him to play with.
