Lake was enthusiastic as she cupped my balls and did everything in her power to send me flying over the edge of sanity. I felt myself hit the back of her throat as she took as much of me as she could. A deep groan ripped from my chest. She used that magic tongue of hers to lick every inch of me, swirling it over the top of my dick, swiping the precome from the engorged head like I was her own personal ice cream cone.

My girl was looking to devour me.

She slid her free hand around my backside and clenched my bare ass in her palm, her nails digging into my flesh for leverage. I almost blew my load right then but held steady.

I knew my control was about to burst into a million pieces.

Because in the next instant, she sucked me so hard and moaned deep in her throat. I felt it everywhere. My balls drew up tight, ready to explode. Strangled words came from my lips, “Baby, I’m gonna—”

She sucked harder and I was barely hanging on by a thread.

Trying to warn her again, my breathing labored, I said, “Lake, sweetheart, if you don’t want me shooting down your throat you need to remove your mouth from my dick.”

My woman just dug her nails into my ass deeper and latched onto me like a suction cup. One more moan vibrated around my cock and that was the end of the control I’d been trying to hold onto. The geyser opened and my release rushed down her throat. My heart accelerated to top speed as my body trembled.

She took every drop and when she released me with a pop of her lips, I noticed the satisfied smile that stretched across her face, one matching my own.

Lake slid her hands up my body as she stood and met my eyes.

Still out of breath, I managed to say, “I’m not sure I’m alive, I think I just died and went to heaven.”

A sexy smile crossed her gorgeous face. “Maybe I better try resuscitating you,” she said right before she reached behind my neck, stretched up onto her toes and took my mouth with hers.

The woman was definitely going to be the death of me one day.

But that won’t be today.

I needed way more of Lake so death would have to wait.

I’d proposed a lifetime with her hours before and I couldn’t wait to start the rest of our lives together.

Chapter Thirty-One

LAKE

The holidays werein full swing.

I couldn’t believe Thanksgiving had come and gone, and it was already the beginning of December. It had been a truly different experience for Stormi and me. Bronson too. While he’d been to group gatherings, he hadn’t allowed himself to spend time with the men and women around this time of year. But we ate turkey, stuffed our bellies, and had lots of laughs with all our friends.

We were making new memories together.

As afamily.

True to what we both wanted, along with Stormi’s very enthusiastic approval, we were married within a week of our first date.

And it seemed we weren’t the only ones tying the knot.

On Christmas Eve, with all their friends in celebration, Lance and London were getting married in the home they shared with their son, Oliver.

Second chances seemed to be in full bloom lately.

“Mom!” Stormi shouted as she raced into the kitchen. “Dad is singing really loudly in the shower again.” She giggled. “He is sooo”—she drew the word out—“out of tune.”

Hearing her call Bronson “Dad” was surreal but so dang sweet. He ate it up every time he heard her call him that. The two of them were closer than I could ever wish for but it never diminished the relationship he and I had or mine with my daughter.

Like Stormi had said that one day we’d spent on the lake, Bronson could be her best friend too. And while she said I came first, I was pretty sure it was a dead even tie now.

And I was okay with that.
