He stalked toward me, kicking off his shoes before he reached the bed, and climbed beside me with his clothes on. I tossed the pillow out of the way and he pulled me closer to him.

“I was just thinking about how lucky I was you snagged me and made me your wife,” I told him with a grin. “And then I was wondering when I saw you how I was ever going to wait weeks to feel you inside me again.”

Pax sucked in air and his eyes flashed with desire, but then his gaze turned serious.

“It won’t be easy, that's for sure.” He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my lips. “But your body needs to heal.” He softly ran the back of his hand down my face. “You need to heal in other ways too and I’m here for you, sweetheart.” He kissed the tip of my nose. “I do promise to make up for the time we lose as soon as we are given the green light though, darlin’.”

I knew he was right about me needing to heal, both physically and emotionally, but I was trying to concentrate on the fact I was alive and with my family. I reached out and stroked his cheek much like he’d just done to me. “Promises, promises,” I chanted.

The look in his eyes told me he knew I was avoiding but he went with it. His deep chuckle bounced the mattress and sent goosebumps rippling all over my flesh.

“You know, sliding into fourth base may be off limits, even attempting a play at third, but we could probably round one and two before we have to stop,” I teased.

Pax gave me a wicked smile and then his lips crashed against mine. Just as his tongue swept into my mouth a loud wail pierced the room.

We broke apart and laughed.

“My little angel is going to be a cock-blocker isn’t she?” Pax, joked.

I giggled again. “I promise to make sure your cock is well taken care of dear husband.”

Italia let out another cry just as the doorbell chimed.

“I should have known our family couldn’t wait twenty-four hours to descend,” I said.

Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our group was one in a million.

Pax gave me a quick kiss. “I’ll grab the baby and get the door. You meet us downstairs when you’re ready.”

“You spoil me,” I whispered.

“I plan to do that for the rest of my life,” he whispered back before he climbed out of the bed and headed toward the bedroom door. “You’re the love of my life, darlin’.”

“And you’re mine,” I called back as he moved out of the room to get our daughter.

“How in theworld did you guys do it?” I asked the ladies.

I had to find out because once I was healed I knew resisting my husband would be hard.

“Do what?” Jurnee asked.

My gazed glanced over to Paxton who had Italia cradled in his muscular arm.

“Oh, wait all those weeks before our husbands could slip us their sausage again,” Alley said, after scanning the area for what I assumed were little ears.

All the women burst into a fit of laughter as my head whipped to the crazy, beautiful woman that had no filter and could be the life of any party. I looked at Alley and couldn’t control myself. I started cracking up too.

“Yes, that isexactlywhat I mean,” I told her, tears running down my cheeks from laughing so hard.

“Oh girl,” Summer chimed in. “It is not easy at all. Especially with a guy as hot as mine and when you know just how big that sausage is.” Summer’s eyes flashed to her husband Gyth.

“Don’t look at me like that or we are going home now!” Gyth called out from across the room, giving Summer a smoldering look.

She turned back to the group, her cheeks pinkening with a blush. “Shit, we may not be here very long.”

I jutted out my bottom lip. “That issonot fair,” I told her.
