But she’d said she needed more and I couldn’t resist her, nor could I tell her no.

Already naked from our shower, I rolled her to her back and braced myself above her. I nudged her legs apart with my knee and used one hand to place my cock at her entrance.

“I love you,” I said, looking into her eyes. “I love you so fucking much, sweetheart.”

“I love you too,” she said as her hands grabbed my ass and her nails dug into my flesh.

That was my undoing.

The heat from her core enveloped me as I pressed inside her. It was like coming home from a storm on a cold winter’s day, to a furnace of warmth that made my body tingle with pleasure everywhere. It felt so right.

My wife moaned and arched up into me seeking more.

And I planned on giving it to her.

For the rest of our lives.

EPILOGUE

Gemma

I had the jitters.

No matter how many times I told myself not to be nervous and that Bodie was on the same page as me, I was still scared to let the cat out of the bag.

“Babe, we’re going to be late for your own party,” my husband said, coming into our bedroom.

Ruby and Lyric were having a party at their house to celebrate my graduating from college and already landing a full-time job. One had opened up for fall at Peyton and Piper’s school, where our friends' kids also went.

The girls and everyone were so excited.

I was happy the news about the job had gone over well, now I just hoped the next announcement went as well.

It was only the end of June so we’d only been married a couple of months but it all happened so fast. And while it was Bodie who’d claimed it was what he wanted, I wasn’t sure if he truly did or was just trying to make me happy.

“I know, but we need to have a family meeting really quick first,” I told him.

He frowned. “Is everything okay?”

I felt a little nauseous for a few different reasons, but I didn’t tell him that. “Yeah, I just want to talk to you and the girls.”

“Okay, well they’re out in the living room impatiently waiting to go to the party, so they are right where you need them to be.”

He looked at me again before grasping my hand and pulling me out to where the girls stood watching me.

“Girls, please sit down, your mom wants to talk to us,” Bodie told the kids.

After they each took a seat on the couch, Bodie sat down next to them and they all stared as they waited for me to say what I needed to. Nervous as hell, I blurted out my news.

“We’re having a baby. I’m pregnant.”

The girls jumped from the couch and rushed me, wrapping their arms around my legs, and firing off question after question. They wanted to know when the baby would be here, what was its name, was it a boy or a girl. I chuckled at their excitement but then my laughter died when I noticed Bodie hadn’t moved.

He still sat on the couch, a stunned expression on his face. Was he happy or upset? He’d said he was ready and he was the one who told me to throw my pills away. But he still could have changed his mind.

I wanted him to be as happy as I was and when a huge grin appeared on his ruggedly handsome face, my heart soared, erasing the panic that had quickly risen.

“A baby,” he whispered.
