“Well, are you going to let them in or make them bring in the New Year outside on our porch?” Gemma’s voice teased and her laughter was music to my ears.

“Dad, let them in, geez,” Peyton said. I may not have been able to see her eyes but I knew without a doubt she’d just rolled them by her tone.

That girl was a mini tornado. She may not have been as big and bold as Braxton’s, Embry, but she blew in and could knock you off your feet with her sass none the same. And with Embry having taken her under her wing to guide her, the storm she could create as she got older may not be one I survived.

I thanked my lucky stars that Piper balanced it all out a little. My quieter angel had personality but it was a much more subdued one.

I stepped back to let everyone in. Peyton and Piper latched onto the kids and immediately took them to not only see their room but their huge playroom. We had enough space for them to each have their own bedrooms but they insisted they wanted to still share one. I wasn’t going to argue.

Even different, the two were thick as thieves.

Not for the first time I wondered how my life had drastically changed. There I was, with Gemma, and my girls hosting our first gathering in our own home with our friends that were truly family.

Gemma slipped her arm through mine as everyone made their way in the door. The guys slapped me on the back as they passed by and the women smiled brightly. Everyone had insisted on bringing something so there was a lot of food walking past me and my stomach grumbled in reply.

But it was Gemma’s belly that gurgled loudly when Capri started by us. The woman baked like there was no tomorrow and my lady had a sweet tooth bigger than her stomach could hold. It was just one of the things I found so endearing about her. Her love for dessert was funny and when you add that said dessert came from Capri, well that doubled her love for the sugary treats.

Capri beamed, a huge smile lighting up her face. “You do make a girl feel good with how much you love my baking,” she told Gemma as she opened the lid of her goody container.

A delicious, heavenly smell floated around us and there went my lady's belly once again.

“Go ahead and take one,” Capri said, nodding to the container. “You know you want to.”

Gemma didn’t wait for another word. She pulled her arm from mine. Her hand dipped inside the plastic holder and pulled out a mini cherry cheesecake bite, her face full of triumph.

“Good choice,” Capri said, smiling again. “I’ll just go put this in the kitchen. Oh wait, maybe I should hide them for a while,” she teased, looking at Gemma.

Gemma took a bite of her treat and moaned. Through a mouth full of food she replied, “Maybe you should.” We laughed as Capri made her escape.

If she didn’t hurry, she may have been wiped clean right there at the front entry.

Another moan penetrated my ears and my dick twitched in my jeans.

“Baby, if you keep making those noises, our guests are going to lose their hosts.” Every little touch or sound the woman made caused a party in my pants. And we already had a party going on we had to tend to.

The minx shoved the last bite in her mouth and moaned even louder. When I went to make a grab for her, she took off running.

“You’re going to pay for that later!” I called out to her.

She stopped dead in her tracks and smiled over her shoulder at me.

“I’m counting on it.” Then instead of running, she sashayed out of my sight, her hips swaying suggestively.

My cock strained against my zipper and I walked out front for a second, shutting the door behind me. The last thing I needed was for everyone to see the bulge she’d created in my pants.

God, what that woman did to me.

She made me feel like a horny teenager again.

And damn if it didn’t feel fucking amazing.

“Five. Four. Three. Two.One!”

“Happy New Year!” everyone cheered.

The kids were banging pots and pans as they ran wild, screaming. How most of them made it until midnight was beyond me. Or how the babies and younger ones were sleeping through the noise was anyone’s guess.
