Gyth groaned and Kace burst out laughing, “That’s what you get ass—” he stopped himself but not soon enough.
“You too, Uncle Kace. But you only owe me one.”
As I said, it was eventful.
The two men tag-teamed the rest of the ceremony in style.
And in record time, since he kept telling the guys to hurry the heck up so he could get to the best part, careful of his words so he didn’t owe the swear jar also, my husband’s mouth was on mine.
Our first kiss as husband and wife sent me flying.

I was Mrs. Lyric Knight.
And it wouldn’t be long before Autumn too would have the same last name. We had already started filling out the papers and would get them submitted.
My life was like a dream and I had almost everything I wanted. I could handle a mini Lyric running around the house one day, I thought looking into my husband's eyes as we swayed to another perfect song,My Person,by Spencer Crandall.
“We still have some things to get to before we can leave, sweetheart, but if you don’t stop undressing me with your eyes, we won’t make it.”
I glanced toward the house. It was right there, with easy access, andourbed was calling my name.
Lyric let out a strangled groan. “You’re killing me, Red.”
A giggle seeped from my lips.
Autumn ran up just in time or I might have found myself over my husband's shoulder as he carried me off while everyone watched.
“Daddy, dance?”
My heart melted on the spot when Lyric picked her up and hugged her to him. “I would love to dance with you, Pumpkin.”
I might miss being in his arms but watching the two of them was so worth it. A couple of songs went by and Autumn couldn’t get enough of dancing with her daddy, but then another announcement was made and they stopped.
“Cake time,” Capri called out, causing a ruckus from all the kids as they screamed and shouted.
The woman made the most stunning cake and I knew it would taste delicious since I’d had her goodies before. I still couldn’t believe she had done it for us.
We joined everyone around the table and two pieces were cut and handed to Lyric and me. There were multiple toasts not just from Jett and a very shy Patience, but others too and I had to wave off the tears once again.
It was time for some fun.
Each of our hands moved forward to feed one another our first bite and I let it fly. My hand moved fast and I smashed the cake into Lyric’s face. He looked stunned but in the next instant, he got me back good. Kids were squealing with laughter along with everyone else and then they were being served as my husband and I kissed with messy faces.
“Damn, that tastes good,” I said.
“You taste better, baby,” my husband said, sweeping his tongue into my mouth and devouring me.
“I’d tell you to get a room, but last time I got in trouble,” Embry said from beside us. “Can we do the bouquet toss now, I’m still single so I get to join in.”
We broke apart and stared down at the girl. She was something else and had so much personality it was crazy.
“You don’t want cake?” I asked her.
“Not yet, I want to see if I catch the flowers so I know if I’m going to marry Dexter,” she announced.
Her father, Braxton sputtered and spit out his champagne.
