“Soooo…” he finally drawled out. “Um… would you… could I… um… would it be okay…”
Through this newly forming bond, I said,“It’s okay. You can ask me anything.”
He gave me a nod and a grateful smile before he took a deep breath. “Okay. So… you didn’t seem to mind my, uh, other form the other day.”
Didn’t seem to mind it? I fucking loved it.
His eyes went wide, clearly overhearing my thoughts even though I thought I was keeping them to myself. “Really? You did?”
I nodded.“Very much.”
He blew out a breath, a crooked smile on his lips. “Oh. Um… wow, thank you.” He cleared his throat. “So… would you, um, would you mind if I… uh, shifted? Now? While we take a nap? I didn’t shift today, and I try to shift at least once a day to keep that side at bay and everything.”
I blinked. He wanted to hug my werewolf in his snow yeti form? Fur wrapped around fur. Hell yeah, sign me up.“Do it. I like your yeti form.”
“Oh, thank the Ice Goddess. Okay, um… good. Great. Uh… I guess I’ll just undress here and…” He trailed off as he unbuttoned his jeans as he turned around.
I probably should’ve looked away, but I couldn’t pull my eyes off his back when he yanked his shirt over his head and dropped it to the floor. His back was practically chiseled from stone and so smooth and soft-looking that I wanted to lick it.
Truthfully, I wanted to lick every inch of him.
Lanche shot me a grin over his shoulder, so I assumed he’d heard me, but I was too distracted to look because he pulled his pants and underwear off, and suddenly, I was looking at his bare ass.
His bare, very muscular ass.
I really wished it wasn’t a full moon tonight because I wanted to get my hands on that ass. So badly.
Lanche shot me a grin over his shoulder, and I had a feeling I still wasn’t doing a good job of keeping my thoughts to myself.
This time, I watched his shift. It was smooth and quick, happening between one breath and the next. But it was fascinating seeing the fur grow over his skin as his body put on mass.
And then a snow yeti was standing in my bedroom, staring at me.
I scooted over in the bed.“Come on in, baby.”
The yeti’s lips tilted up in a smile, and even though he was supposed to be a fierce and scary monster, I could never see him that way because he was too damn cute.
Lanche climbed into bed and held his arms out as he lifted the blanket. I didn’t hesitate to snuggle right into his soft, furry body, and he covered us before pulling me closer.
His hug was filled with warmth and affection, and I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever felt so… loved in my entire life.
Chapter Fourteen
Lanche
The other night had been one of the best nights of my life. Falling asleep in my snow yeti form with Dain in his werewolf form had been a dream come true, and definitely not something I’d expected so soon.
Leaning back, I took in the painting I was working on—a commission that was due in a few weeks—and couldn’t help but smile. Luckily, the woman who’d commissioned it from me wanted something happy because my giddiness over finding Dain and having him finally accept that we were viramores was shining through like crazy.
I dabbed my brush into the yellow paint and added a few strokes, humming under my breath. I had a space inside a local co-op to use as my studio, and I loved it here. Most of the other renters were artists as well, so it was always nice getting to talk to like-minded people and to see all the amazing creations they were making.
I needed to bring Dain here one day to show off my space and meet some of my friends.
My phone rang, and for one moment, I thought it might be Dain, but then I shook the thought away since I knew he was at work.
We had plans to go out tonight since the full moon phase was over, so I couldn’t be too disappointed when I saw my brother, Glacier’s, name pop up on the screen.
“Hey, Glaych, how’re you doing?” I said as I answered.
