“No problem.” She winks, and then she’s off. I watch that round ass sway as she walks away.
Christ.I’ll never stop wanting her.
I call Luke, and when he answers, I hear giggling in the background and pinch the bridge of my nose.
“Hey, boss.”
“Eloise is on her way to meet Scarlett. I want two men with them everywhere they go.”
“Already on it,” he says. “But I assigned four.”
“Good.”
I hang up, and less than five minutes later, my phone chimes, telling me there’s someone at the front door. I check the video feed and see it’s Julian, so I unlock the door from my desk. A few moments later, he walks through my office door.
“I’m the first one here,” he says with surprise as he takes a seat across from me, and I blow out a breath.
Fuck, I’m tired.
He eyes me. “What’s wrong? Aside from the warehouse hit last night?”
“We need to talk.” I lean on my desk and drag my hand down my face. “About Elliott.”
Julian’s eyes narrow slightly. “So talk.”
“Shit.” I shove back in my seat. I don’t want to have this conversation.
“Just tell me what he did now.”
“He’s six months behind in his membership fees with the club,” I reply. Julian doesn’t foot the bill for Elliott’s … hobbies.
“I’ll pay it,” he says, and I shake my head.
“I don’t need or want you to pay it,” I tell my best friend. I don’t ask for membership dues from any of mythree brothers. “I told you before that I would waive the fee for him.”
“No. He has the means to pay himself. If he wants the privilege of the club, he’ll pay for it. Christ, he’s almost twenty-five years old.”
Julian married very young, at the age of just eighteen, and his wife had Elliott right away. Then she died in a hit-and-run car accident. Julian raised his son alone with the help of housekeepers, all while building his own business. He’s done a hell of a job, but Elliott is an entitled jerk.
We all know it.
And Julian cleans up after him often.
“I just wanted you to be aware because he’s still using the club. And typically, we wouldn’t be this … lenient.”
“I get it,” Julian replies just as my phone pings again, letting me know the others are here. I push the button, and within seconds, Carson comes walking through the door with Mateo right behind him.
Mateo smirks at me.
“Your girl almost poked my fucking eye out earlier.”
The grin spreads over my face.Good girl.
“You probably deserved it.”
He shrugs one shoulder and leans on the windowsill, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I get to take them to the range in the basement later,” Carson says. “It won’t be a hardship to show two beautiful women how to hold a weapon.”
