“Well, you did kinda give me a workout last night.” She smirked when she lifted her head to look at me.

My dick stirred as I squeezed her ass, then kissed her lips. I didn’t have a problem going another round or two, but I knew I needed to feed her.

“I can make you some breakfast.” I kissed her again. “I’ll leave some stuff for you on the bathroom sink. Let me go in there real quick, and by the time you meet me downstairs, I’ll have breakfast ready.”

Maverick yawned and stretched against me.

“Sounds good to me.” She rolled off me and pulled the covers up to her neck.

From the looks of it, she was going back to sleep. I kissed the top of her head, then got out of bed. Before I even made it to the bathroom, Maverick’s light snores filled the room.

I shook my head and smiled as I walked into the bathroom. I wanted her to take her time getting up because I had something planned for her, and I needed her out of the way until it was completed.

It took me a few minutes to get my hygiene together. I moved around the room quietly to get my clothes so I didn’t wake Maverick up. Once I was dressed in my lounge pants and a T-shirt, I walked over to the side of the bed Maverick was on.

I watched her sleep for a few seconds. She was so gorgeous to me and brought this new light into my life.

I leaned down to kiss her cheek, then whispered, “Baby, get up.” She didn’t move right away, so I waited a few seconds before trying again. “Baby, wake up.” This time, I quickly pecked her lips, and she stirred.

When she looked at me with her eyes barely open and smiled, my heart skipped a beat.

“I’m up.” She stretched her arms over her head, causing the cover and sheet to slip down.

She was naked, and I wanted to get back in bed with her, but I refrained.

“I’m going to go downstairs and cook. Take your time getting ready,” I told her, then kissed her again. Kissing her full lips had to be my new favorite thing.

I left Maverick upstairs to get dressed while I went to set everything up for us.

As I fixed breakfast, I thought about Maverick telling me about some dude trying to get her phone number, and even though we hadn’t put a title on what we were doing, I was glad she didn’t entertain him. It made what I had planned even more imperative. I didn’t want any mistakes about what we were whenever she was approached. I wasn’t trying to let anyone else discover the beautiful person she was.

I felt Maverick’s presence before she opened her mouth. Turning around, I spotted Maverick in the entryway of the kitchen. Her eyes were wide, and her hand covered her mouth. I turned the pot off and closed the distance between us. Her cherry fragrance filled my nostrils.

“Onyx.” She whispered my name as her eyes bounced around the kitchen.

While the food cooked, I quickly spread rose petals all over the floor. On the table was a big vase filled with different color roses, and on the island in the middle was another big vase filled with different types of flowers.

“Maverick,” I teased. I reached for her hand and led her further into the kitchen.

Once we reached the small table, I pulled the chair out and helped her sit down.

“The food is done. Give me a second to make your plate. Do you want apple or orange juice?”

“Uh. Apple is fine,” she said absentmindedly as her eyes traveled around the kitchen again.

“Apple it is.” I walked over to the fridge and poured the apple juice into glasses, then went to the stove to get our food.

I gathered everything and brought it over to Maverick.

Maverick looked down at her plate, then back to me. “When did you have time to do all of this?”

“While you were getting ready. I had to move quickly to get it all done,” I told her as I took the seat across from her.

“It’s beautiful.” She scooped some eggs onto her fork, then put them in her mouth. “Mm.” She moaned as she chewed. “This is good,” she said as her hand covered her mouth.

I smiled at her and nodded. “Thank you.”

We quietly ate our breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. It wasn’t anything special, but it was the only breakfast food I cooked. Sometimes I would swap out the bacon for sausage, but that was it.
