PROLOGUE
Summer nightsinCaliwere like no other. Tuesday Adams lived for nights where there was a nice breeze after a hot day and people were in good spirits because that almost always guaranteed more business for her.
“Thanks for helping me tonight,” Tuesday said to her best friend as she handed a customer their order.
Winter waved her off. “You know I got you.”
Tuesday smiled. She and Winter had been rocking together since diapers, and she could always count on her girl. If anyone in the world knew what owning this food truck meant for her, it was Winter.
“Looks like the club just let out,” Tuesday noted as she eyed the crowd of people spilling out from the black brick building across the street;Club Lush.
It was the perfect area, and it had only been one month since she got licensing to set up shop here every Friday and Saturday night. Every other day of the week she parked in different locations aroundLake Elsinore.
“You ready for this rush?” Winter asked as she put some more chicken and steak on the grill while Tuesday made sure all the toppings were stocked.
Taco Tuesdayswas her food truck name, and she served the best tacos inLake Elsinore. People were starting to catch on, too. She had only owned theBarbiepink truck for a year, but it picked up traction pretty quickly, especially since she sold one dollar tacos on Tuesdays. People loved her food and the different deals she ran, which made her happy. She always knew one day she would be successful and make money doing what she loved, and now, it was coming to fruition right before her eyes.
“I’m ready,” Tuesday replied, bumping her hip against Winters.
Winter’s dramatic self stumbled to the side a little, causing Tuesday to giggle.
“You need to be careful with that wagon you draggin’. It almost took me out.”
Tuesday laughed as she moved the onions and peppers around the flat top, nodding. She really did have a big booty, which sat up nice in the fitted denim jeans she wore; her handful of breasts stretched across theTaco Tuesdayslogo on her T-shirt. The hot pink color of her shirt looked good against her smooth chocolate skin, and her jet black hair was in a low ponytail that hung to the small of her back.
“‘Excuse me,” a deep baritone said from behind them.
Tuesday quickly turned around with a smile on her face, ready to serve her first customer when her eyes landed on him. Her jaw dropped, but she composed herself as she gazed at the finest man she had ever seen. He was inked up. A crisp white Tee covered his chest, denim jeans sat on his waist andNike Cortezwere on his feet. Jewels were on his neck, his ears and his wrist. He stood next to a man who was taller thanaverage with a nice build, but he looked petite next to big daddy standing next to him.
Gathering herself, Tuesday moved to the open window and asked, “How can I help you?”
Big daddy licked his lips, eyeing her and making her panties wet.
This man knows he’s fine, she thought as she looked into his piercing black eyes.
Finally, he pried his eyes from her, looking at the menu that was propped up on the side of the truck; the daily specials were written in her beautiful handwriting.
“Can I get two of each taco, an order of monster nachos, and a horchata?” he winked.
Tuesday’s hazel eyes bulged. She wasn’t used to getting big orders, considering they had seven different tacos on the menu to choose from.
When the man looked over at his friend and asked, “What you getting?” Tuesday laughed, showing off her pretty teeth; Diamonds were encrusted on her lateral incisors.
“Wait,” she said, interrupting the guy’s friend and addressing big daddy. “All that’s for you?”
His juicy lips lifted into a half grin as he finessed the thick beard on his chin. “I’m a big man, baby. Iloveto eat.”
The way he said it made her think he was talking about more than just tacos, and she smirked, ignoring what he said focusing back on his friend. “What can I get you?”
“I’ll get four steak tacos and chips and queso.”
“Anything to drink?”
“Nah, I’m cool.”
She smiled and looked back at Winter, who was already working on their order before ringing them up on theiPad.
“One hundred and seven dollars.”
