Point Break
more upset than worried. Wasn’t sure what was going on with you
Creek
Shit, I should’ve texted. I’m sorry.
Point Break
I thought maybe you regretted things
Creek
I don’t regret anything. Well, I regret some of the things I said to you in the beginning and I definitely regret not getting your permission the first time I kissed you, but I don’t regret kissing you again.
Point Break
no?
Creek
I liked the kissing. I wanna do more kissing.
Point Break
same
Creek
Wanna go out for dinner after PT? We could grab a bite and then maybe do more kissing?
Point Break
like…a date?
I took a deep breath, then texted my reply.
Creek
Yes. Like a date.
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
HEATH
My phone hit the floor of the gym, making a loud clatter, and the entire class froze before a handful of kids started a slow golf clap. I was already up to my eyeballs in smartassery for the day, which was to be expected. Summer was coming, which meant they were antsy. I only had a few seniors in my classes since most of them got PE out of the way by sophomore year, but they were making up for the lack of volume with giant attitudes.
I’d already had to remind three of them today that PE was a requirement, and I didn’t have one single, solitary qualm about failing them and forcing them to make it up over the summer.
Which…was a lie. But it was a good one. An effective one.
“Mind your business,” I said.
“Sir?”
I looked up at Angelina. “Ma’am?”
“Are they gonna have to cut your arms off if you start dropping shit like an old man?”
