Alvere came first, crying out with a final desperate lunge into Silence who also cried out, but it wasn’t until a moment later when Silence’s eyes rolled back and he jerked and tensed with another cry.
And I couldn’t help myself. My beautiful men were so hot in their mutual pleasuring and Sparrows fingers were so nimble and quick, that I too cried out, body tensing and convulsing as I squeezed my own breasts in the throes of one of the most pleasurable orgasms I’d ever had. So very different than what I’d had with Ant, and yet just as powerful and intense.
I even heard Sparrow moan a little as she drew her fingers away.
As I collapsed back, I saw her shifting to quickly pleasure herself and she was quickly joining the rest of us in our various wonderful sensations.
Alvere collapsed over Silence, kissing his back between heavy breaths. After a moment he looked up at me and Sparrow and softly stroked Silence’s hair as he said, “I think I could get used to this.”
Chapter 5
I was feeling energized. After that stunningly sexy encounter in my room, we’d joined the rest of the house for a wonderful and filling meal. Alvere, Sparrow, Silence, and I had shared furtive glances and secret smiles as we ate.
We now all sat or stood in the common area, a fire raging in the large hearth. Everyone was looking to me for what to do next.
“I have a crazy idea,” I said as I paced back and forth in front of the fire.
“Why do I get the feeling all our briefings are going to start with that phrase,” Princess mock-whispered to Foggy. He gave a snort of a laugh. I couldn’t help but laugh as well, and others followed suit.
“Perhaps they will,” I said in a playfully threatening sort of way. “We’ll find out. But for now, I have probably the craziest idea of them all.” I stopped pacing. “I want to kidnap the queen.”
I stood there, waiting for the expected shocked gasps and protests. Instead, I saw my house slowly nodding and grudgingly accepting this idea.
“We need to know what’s going on, and the Royal House is clearly involved,” Crane said. “Either she must know what’s happening, or we’ll find out if she’s completely unaware, which seems unlikely. Yes, this seems a logical course of action, though I have no clue how we’d pull it off.”
“I might have an idea,” Dove said, voice hesitant. My sister still hadn’t fully recovered from the betrayal of her former lover, Lord Hale. It seemed he’d only been seeing her to get to me, and when he’d turned on us both, it had devastated my sister. She was better now than she had been, but still a little deferential in her new House… My House. As my older sister, it must be odd to have me as her House Leader.
“I’m all ears,” I said. “I had no set plan in mind, just a knowledge that, as Lady Crane said, we need to know what the queen knows.”
“The Spring Festival will be in a few days,” Dove said. If it happens as usual, then the queen will lead a parade of Nobles through the capital, from her House to the Great Square.”
“So, she’ll be out in the open,” I said.
“And surrounded by Nobles,” Lady Crane added sourly. “How will we ever take her unnoticed?
Dove nodded. “That would be the downside.” She sighed. “Perhaps that wasn’t the best idea.”
“No, I think we can work with this,” I said, beginning to pace again. “The trouble with the queen has been her seclusion for these past few weeks. In order to get to her, we’d have to go into her House, and we’d not know where we were going. The chances of getting in and getting out without encountering some of her Nobles would be highly unlikely anyway. This way, at least we know where she’ll be and when.”
“If we wait until after the parade and her speech in the square, she may retire back to her House with only a few guards.” Dove shrugged.
“I wish…” I silenced myself. I’d been about to say I wished that Amber was still here. Her power to influence the minds of others would come in handy. But despite Ant’s turning the corner and starting to let her go, I didn’t think he’d want to hear that right now. So, I threw the question out to the group. “How do we get her away from a few Nobles and guards without harming anyone?” We didn’t really know who was a part of this intrigue and who wasn’t, and the idea was to kidnap the queen without casualties.
“Fin could pop in and grab her and pop out?” Silence said looking over to the large man. Fin had lost some of his girth these last few days, and he still was covered in bandages. He didn’t look like he’d be up for much, not at the moment at least.
Fin grunted and shrugged. He was half asleep as it was. If we were going to use Fin at all we’d need to make sure he was well recovered.
“Good idea… though we also need to account for Lord Hale. If he’s with the queen that could mess things up for us. I know he can stop people from veering and cut them off from their Lumani, what I don’t know is if he can stop a person’s spirit-gift. I’m guessing he can’t, since Midnight and I were able to use ours while close to him, but… there is a slim chance he can, but has to concentrate or somehow activate that power and he didn’t at that time because he just didn’t know we had spirit gifts.” I shrugged. “For the moment, let’s assume he can. If so, we need some way to neutralize him and any others safely.”
“There has to be a way,” Crane said, looking into the fire in thought. “Perhaps if we each share what we can do, that might spark something?” She looked around. “I know we’ve done this many times before, but I think it might help here.”
Alvere shrugged. “You all may have done it many times before, but I haven’t been here. So, I’ll go first. I can control cloth,” he said, then blinked, head slowly tilting to one side. He was clearly stuck on some thought. For those of the House who hadn’t known that Alvere was half-Fey and had some of their abilities this statement had opened some eyes. Alvere turned to me. “You know, if you asked for some help from the Fey, they might be able to take some others out of the picture. Those like me could potentially stop anyone in regular clothes. And if there were guards in armor, a few of those who control metal could help as well.” He shrugged. “I can ask them if you like.”
That might be very useful. I had hoped to do this with just the members of my House, but a little outside help might go a long way. Certainly, it would be something the Nobles wouldn’t be used to fighting against. I’d seen how powerful and useful the Fey could be during our raid on the Elistan camp. The way Ahmaia had scooped people up and hidden them somehow, in the “pockets” of her cloak, was amazing.
“That’s a great idea, thank you Alvere.”
“If that fails you could just kiss everyone,” Foggy said with a wide grin.
