“Then it’s set. We’ll head to the coast first thing tomorrow and summon Fin. Get some rest. We were all up late last night.”
We dispersed.
Silence followed me until we were outside of my room since his was just a little farther down the hall.
He put a hand on my shoulder, giving a reassuring squeeze, then wordless, moved on to his room.
I hesitated before entering mine.
“Silence,” I asked, voice hushed and uncertain. He turned back to me. “Would you… like to come in?” I asked, not really knowing what I was asking.
The faint smile on his lips grew and he nodded.
We entered my room and I closed the door, but there we stopped, standing in the entry hall for a moment.
“Legs?” Silence asked, probably curious why we were just standing here.
So… why were we? What had I wanted? Why had I invited him in? My feelings around him were still so… confused.
Would you like some help?Auwei asked?
Spirits yes, please!
You may be confused, but you didn’t want to be alone right now, did you?
No, you’re right.
I guess the question is… how do you ‘not want to be alone’? Do you want to talk to him? Just be held by him? Or, do you want more?
I wanted to be held, so I started there. “Hold me,” I whispered, and he did, stepping in to enfold me in his arms. I put my arms around him too. I was glad he was my height now; I could rest my head on his shoulders without it being awkward.
“You’re scared,” he said.
“Spirits, yes, aren’t you?” I whispered. I couldn’t recall, so I asked him, “have you been on a mission yet?”
He shook his head, I felt the movement. “No. My training is mostly done, but up till now, I’d always had too much to learn to go out. This will be my first. And yes, Legs, I’m scared.”
And I probably shouldn’t have been. The mistweaver had been captured. This would just be a quick jaunt into Vauphan, a little light spying, nothing too dangerous.
A little light spying?Auwei laughed at that. You have an interesting way of looking at things.
“At least a mistweaver won’t be trying to kill me on this mission,” I said to Auwei and Silence.
He held me closer and I felt Auwei’s soothing warmth. So far, every significant fight I’d had as a noble… had been with a mistweaver. That could shake a girl up.
And in that moment, I knew exactly what I wanted from Silence. “Make me forget about that,” I asked, voice quiet. “I want to forget about… everything for a while. Can you do that?”
“Yes, Legs,” he said, then shifted to kiss my cheek.
I lifted my head and my lips found his. After that was… mostly a blur.
Strong arms held me. Soft lips kissed… all over my body. Our clothes were shed and we moved to the bed. My first orgasm was a sweeping wave of passion brought on by deft fingers and lips and tongue, upon my folds; giving and selfless. Then I rested in his arms as he simply caressed me, every touch seemingly seared into my sensitive skin. He kissed my breasts, bringing my nipples to full arousal before I begged him to take me. He was hot and sure and thrusting deep as he drove me to the heights of a second release, then joined with me. And when I demanded more, he gave it, freely, finding new ways to thrill me and make the world wash away.
Silence stayed with me that afternoon and night. We lay in each other’s arms, except for the times he rose to get us food.
Late that evening, a strange thought occurred to me as I drifted between waking and sleep.
“Have you been with Amber?” I asked, drowsy and content, but… curious.
