Finally, I turned the water off and grabbed a towel to dry myself. I’d seen some girls wearing the long towels — wrapped around them — back to their rooms. I didn’t think I’d want to do that, but then… I looked at that dress I’d slept in the previous night.

Nodding to myself I did indeed wrap the towel around me, then outside the shower, I turned the waters back on and washed the dress, giving it a good once over, then stopping the water and wringing it out.

Almost as daring as your previous dress, Auwei teased, in relation to the towel around me.

Indeed, it was wide enough that it covered me just a tad lower on my thighs. I laughed. “I think that’s the most revealing I’ve ever been and probably ever will be.”

At that Auwei chuckled.We’ll see.

I didn’t know what that meant, and didn’t ask.

Once back in my room, I hung the dress, leaving the narrow closet door open to help it dry. I was about to remove the towel, when I heard a commotion outside my window.

Curious, I snuffed out my candle lantern so my room matched the darkness outside, then pushed aside my curtain.

It took a moment for my mind to catch up with what my eyes were seeing. Pebble was running back and forth, trying to escape from three other, larger boys — one of whom was Oak — who seemed to be trying to get ahold of him. It looked like Oak had chased Pebble into the long alley between the dorm and the admin building, where two others had been waiting for them. Now, the three were closing the gaps and Pebble was being backed up against the admin building.

My fury rose. If there was one thing I couldn’t abide… it was bullies. Before I knew what I was doing, I had the window open and was jumping out to help Pebble.

Even before I got there, the boys started throwing punches. Pebble looked terrified and clearly didn’t know how to fight… but he was very adept at dodging, nimble and quick, evading their fists.

I reached the first young man, grabbed his shoulder and spun him around, landing a solid punch on his nose. My fist stung, but I followed up quickly with another hit to his jaw, turning his head and dropping him.

Now, I had their attention.

And only then, as Oak, Pebble, and the other boy stared at me… did I remember I was only wearing a towel.

Bloody Pits!Too late to do anything about that now. Hopefully it would keep them distracted long enough to end this.

Ah, yeah, they’re boys, you’re plenty distracting as you are,Auwei noted.

“Legs?” Oak blinked in surprise, his gaze alternating between staring at my legs and the tops of my breasts showing above the towel.

I stepped over to the unknown boy and kicked out to knock one of his feet out from under him. He fell.

“Run!” I hissed to Pebble, who now had a clear line of escape. He did, and he was fast.

“Bloody bones,” Oak swore and looked at the back of the fleeing Pebble, then me, then his two friends on the ground, then back to me. “You love him that much, do you?”

What?

He must have seen you kiss Pebble earlier,Auwei said.

Oh… but…

To a rival boy, that would be enough to assume love.

Spirits! Why are boys so stupid and silly?

I could see it now, Oak’s jealousy. But he didn’t go after Pebble, instead he reached for me… well, actually he reached for the towel.

Pervert.

Just as he got one hand on the spot where the towel was tucked in over my breasts, I punched him in the nose; stunning him.

He released me and stumbled back a step.

The guy on the ground near me grabbed for a leg, but I kicked him off, then kicked his face. Pebble was away, and now it was time for me to leave. I wasn’t sure I could take on all three of these boys together.
