“Me either,” he says. “Should I be worried she’s going to leave the company soon?”

“Between you and me? I don’t think she’s getting a role anytime soon.”

“Ouch.”

“It’s true.”

“Maybe you can give her lessons. You seem like a good actress to me.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Unless you weren’t pretending the other night.”

“That was very much an act,” I say quickly, thinking of my fingers gliding down his pants and the way his cock had twitched. I swallow hard. That had been hot.

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“I’m not sure there’s anything you wouldn’t do,” I say, and hang up. I walk back to the girls and rub my stomach. “I’m hungry.”

“Who was that?” Marina asks suspiciously.

“No one,” I say quickly and I frown as Brielle and Willow exchange knowing looks. They know exactly who it was.

“So,” I say, clapping my hands lightly. “Hot dogs nearly ready?”

Katherine: I didn’t do anything you wouldn’t do.

Jack: You still out?

Katherine: Just got home. Now in bed.

Jack: Alone?

Katherine: Maybe. Maybe not.

Jack: If you’re in bed with a man and texting me, then I feel sorry for him.

Katherine: Haha.

Jack: I’m in bed as well.

Katherine: Good for you.

Jack: I’m naked.

Katherine: So am I.

Jack: Completely?

Katherine: Yes, that’s normally what naked means.

Jack: Hot.
