Finley shrugged. “We all deserve a second chance. I think this is yours.”

“Things are going to be different once I'm out of here,” Ferguson said. “You're right, this is my second chance. Landing in the hospital with my heart acting up was a wake-up call.”

He finished the cannoli and Finley sighed quietly. He knew it wouldn't work immediately, but he hoped it didn't take too long for the counter-spell to work. “I'll get out of here and let you rest. Hopefully, you'll be out of the hospital soon,” he said, standing.

“Thanks for stopping by, McLaughlin,” Ferguson said.

“Don't mention it,” Finley replied and left. When he got to his vehicle, he sent Sorcha a quick text.

Me:He ate the whole thing

Sweetheart:That's good. It may take a couple of days before he's back to normal, but the spell will work

Me:I believe in your skills. What are you doing today?

Sweetheart:I'm working at the bakery until 2, then my shop until 6, and after that, I'm getting boxes so I can start packing. Zaine’s coming to help

Me:Want a third set of hands? I can come to help too

Sweetheart:I'd like that. I'll let Zaine know because he's picking up dinner. See you this evening

Me:See you this evening, Sweetheart

He put his phone away and headed to the office to get some work done.

Sorcha

After texting with Finley, Sorcha sent a quick text to Zaine.

Me:Good morning, Babe. I hope you slept well. When you pick up dinner, make sure to get enough for three. Finley's coming over to help

Hotstuff:Sure thing, Angel. The more the merrier

Me:See you tonight then

She focused on taking care of customers coming into the bakery, and the day passed quickly. When she got to her shop, she went upstairs to get Zen and carried him downstairs to his perch.

“How was your trip?” Acadia asked.

“It was really good. I got what I needed,” Sorcha replied.

“Did you do anything fun?”

Sorcha debated before she grinned. “I wasn't alone. The hot guy I had a date with, he was with me and so was Zaine. I don't really know how it happened, but I have two guys and I am over the moon for both of them,” she told her.

“Oh, wow, Sorcha, I'm so happy for you. And a bit jealous, because they are both hot.”

“Thanks. What's even crazier is, that Zaine asked me to move in with him and I said yes,” Sorcha told her.

“Holy shit, girl! That's huge. That explains the boxes you brought in with you. You don't think you're moving a little fast, do you? You just got together,” Acadia pointed out.

“But we've secretly been in love with each other for years,” Sorcha told her. “I know it was only two nights that I was in the same bed with both of them, but I already got used to it. I struggled with sleep last night because I was alone. I guess Zaine is right, when you know, you know.”

“As long as you're sure,” Acadia said.

“I'm sure,” Sorcha replied.

“Okay then. I'm going to head out. Have a good rest of your day,” Acadia told her, grabbed her bag, and left.
