Zaine set an alarm for seven to give them plenty of time to get up and get ready before their 10 am check out. Then he curled up and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter Seven
Sorcha
When the alarm went off, Sorcha groaned. Jetlag had caught up with her, and she was not ready to get up.
“Gotta rise and shine, Angel,” he told her. “We've got to get showers and breakfast before checkout in three hours,” Zaine said.
“Five more minutes,” she grumbled.
“No can do, beautiful,” he told her and tugged the covers down.
“You are a harsh taskmaster, Zaine Bennett,” she groaned.
“But you love me anyway, Sorcha Rathmore,” he countered.
Sorcha rolled over so she was facing him. She lifted a hand and traced his jaw. “Yeah, I do,” she said softly.
“That feeling is mutual, Angel,” he said and kissed her.
“As hot as it is watching you two together, we don't have time for anything,” Finley groaned from his side of the bed.
“Spoilsport,” Sorcha said with a pout.
Zaine chuckled and kissed her one last time before he got out of bed and tugged on his pants.
Sorcha sighed and kissed Finley before she got up too. She tugged her clothes on before grabbing her overnight bag and heading to the shower that was shared by other rooms on their floor.?
After they'd all showered and dressed, they went downstairs to the restaurant and had breakfast.
“When we get to The Soulstone, the shop owned by my contact in the Coven of the Crescent,? Nova Montgomery, let me do all the talking,” Sorcha told them over breakfast. “They do things differently here, and I don't want to accidentally offend her.”
“Sure thing, Sweetheart,” Finley said. “This is your specialty after all,” he added, and Zaine agreed.
“Thank you,” Sorcha replied.
After eating, they ordered a taxi and then got checked out. When their car arrived, Sorcha gave the driver the address for the shop and settled in for the drive.
On the drive, Sorcha looked through things to do in Glasgow. “Oh, let's do the hop-on hop-off bus tour! It's an open-air double-decker tour of the city. That could be fun,” she said.
“Whatever you want, Angel,” Zaine said. “It's your bucket list item,” he told her.
She squealed and kissed him. “Thank you!” she said then turned to Finley. “And thank you for making this possible,” she added and kissed him too.
“You're welcome, Sweetheart,” he replied with a laugh.
They came to a stop and this time Finley paid for the cab. Sorcha looped arms with both of them as they headed into The Soulstone.
“Welcome to The Soulstone, let me know if I can help you with anything,” the woman behind the counter said.
“Hi,” Sorcha said, approaching. “I'm actually looking for Nova Montgomery.”
“Oh, you've found her. What can I do for you?”
“My name is Sorcha Rathmore,? I'm one of your—”
“Customers from America,” Nova interrupted her. “I recognize the name, you're one of my best customers. You're a long way from home. And who's the eye candy?”
