Chapter Fifty Two

Gio

I hated leaving Carly. I wanted to be there in case she needed something, but since I couldn't, I’d tasked Risa with keeping an eye on her while I was gone. Carly inviting her friend to stay just might turn out to be a good thing.

Striding into the warehouse, I noted who was present. “Luciano, Cesare. How is ourguest?”

“Sweating it out and awaiting your arrival. As much as we wanted to flay him alive, his death is yours by right.”

“Let’s go pay him a visit.”

There was a single, soundproofed room on the ground floor. It had a solid concrete floor and was equipped with a drain in the center. It came in quite handy at times.

Stepping into the room, with Luciano and Cesare at my back, my eyes immediately found thepezzo di merdawho’d dared to put his hands on my woman. Stalking toward him, I let him see the darkness in my soul.

“I hope whatever thatputtanagave you to go after my girl was worth it. I hope you got your enjoyment out of it, because you won’t be leaving this room alive. And death, it’s not going to come for you for a while.”

I watched as the fear set in. I watched his eyes widen, I watched the way his chest rose and fell with each pant of breath, and I watched as his body began to quake.

“You’re a big, brave man when you have a woman bound and defenseless. What you really are, is a coward. Only a coward puts his hands on a woman. She didn’t tell you who you were fucking with, did she?”

I removed the gag that was keeping him from responding. I wanted to hear him beg. I wanted to hear him plead. I wanted to hear him scream.

"I didn't know she was your girl. I never would have taken the job if I'd known."

"Do you really think that matters? You took a job that had you carving up a woman's body. It doesn't matter that you didn't know she was mine. It wouldn't matter if I didn't even know her. YOU HARMED A WOMAN. You do not lay hands on a woman. EVER. You deserve every ounce of pain you are about to receive."

He tried to be stoic. He tried to be strong. But even the strongest people have a breaking point.

Every bone in his hands was broken. Skin hung in strips from his body, and blood covered both the floor and my clothes. By the time he finally died, he'd screamed so much he was hoarse.

"Get rid of the body and burn these clothes," I said after I'd changed my clothes and washed all traces of blood from my body.

"You got it, Boss. The gators will be eating good tonight."

I had two more stops to make before I could go home. Carlos was being released from the hospital today and I wanted to check on him before he left.

His parents and girlfriend were in the room when I arrived. I greeted them first before I approached the bed.

"Mr. Marchetti, you didn't need to come by."

"Si, I did. I wanted to be sure you have everything you need before you go home. Is there anything you require?"

"No, Mr. Marchetti, you've done so much all ready."

"Nonsense. You've been a loyal employee, it's the least I can do. You take however long you need to recover. Your job will be waiting for you."

With that I left and headed to my final stop; Dangerous Curves. Tony had information on who was taking some of our stock home. Yes, I wanted to get home to Carly, but business needed to be taken care of first.

"Tony. Let's do this quickly. I want to get back to Carly."

"Sure thing, Boss. How is she doing?"

"She got her first look at what was done to her. Her reaction wasn't as bad as I feared, but it was bad enough."

"I hope thepezzo di merdawho did it suffered."

"He did."
