I breathe out a sigh of relief, and my body relaxes. The asshole made me believe it was going to be something directed towards me. I take a sip, and so does Emma. Em has always been private about her sex life, very private, so her answer catches me off guard. I know she’s not a virgin, but now I want to ask her how many and what toys she has. Her cheeks heat with embarrassment when she finds me staring at her.

Damn, now I feel bad. “Hey, it’s nothing to be ashamed about, own it.”

It’s Will’s turn. “Never have I ever wanted to fuck my ex’s twin sister.”

My breath catches. Cameron’s eyes widen, his cheeks and ears turning bright red.

“Holy shit,” Levi and Em whisper at the same time.

I’m not sure what my face must look like right now, but it has to be ten times worse than Cam’s.

Why would Will put both of us on the spot like that?

Oh God. Is he going to drink? Is he going to get up and leave? I wouldn’t blame him if he did.

Why is he taking so long to answer?

After what seems like an eternity, Cameron’s normal color returns as he lifts his glass and drinks, never taking his eyes off mine. My stomach dips, and I gasp quietly. I hear people whispering around us, but all I can focus on is my heart rate. He flicks his eyes away for a second to Will, and if looks could kill, Will would be freshly dug up with a brand new shiny tombstone.

“Holy shit,” Levi repeats.

Emma stays silent. She’s probably in as much shock as I am. More than him wanting to sleep with me, it’s the fact that he admitted it in front of a bunch of people, including our friends and his date.

Zoey’s voice fills the room. “Never have I ever slept with more than ten people,” she says through gritted teeth while looking at her boyfriend.

Somebody’s in trouble.

And at that statement, Cameron and I both drink.

The game continues, and at this point, I’m only partially listening, enough to drink when I need to. I finally looked away from Cameron two statements ago, still trying to process what he admitted to. I glance up to see him staring down at his cup. He must feel my eyes on him because he lifts his head. That look right there that he’s giving me is when I realize that there’s no point in denying our mutual attraction anymore. When the thought hits me, so does guilt, shame, and horniness. It feels as if both of us are thinking the exact same thing.

Emma’s voice knocks me out of my trance. Her eyelids are only halfway open, and she speaks slowly, still clear enough to understand. “Never have I ever wanted someone who I shouldn’t want.”

Goddammit. Why, out of everything she could’ve said, she said this.

My eyes wander to my former best friend, and he stares right back. At the exact same time, we both raise our cups, chuggingthe rest of our drinks. My breathing is labored, making my chest move up and down faster and faster.

“Well, that concludes a very interesting game of never have I ever, folks. Who wants to spin the wheel next?” Brian offers.

To hell with this, I need a break. “Levi, I’m going to try and find a bathroom. Can you handle Emma?” I point a thumb over my shoulder. “She’s drunk, in case you didn’t notice.”

“Oh, I noticed. Are you feeling okay?”

“I’m fine, I promise.” I sprint out of the room, putting as much distance as possible between Cameron and me.

Walking toward what I’m assuming is the bathroom, I find a line of at least ten people. The beer passed through me quickly and I can’t wait that long. I head to the kitchen and find a guy who’s wearing a Kappa sweatshirt.

“Hey, the bathroom down the hall has a long line. Are there any others in the house I can use?”

The Kappa guy gives me a long explanation as to where the other bathrooms are since there are multiple.

Thanking him, I make my way upstairs.

“No problem,” he tosses over his shoulder.

The hallways are dark and wide. I knock on the first bathroom door and someone mumbles that it’s occupied. My heels click on the floor loudly as I reach the last door on the right and knock. When I’m met with silence, I open it slowly and turn the lights on.

Woah.
