She lets go of me but doesn’t move back. “I love you, Cameron.”

And in the blink of an eye, she’s running back to her mom’s car while letting out a light laugh.

Once she’s out of my line of sight, her words register.

That just happened. Itfinallyhappened.

I pump a fist in the air like John Bender at the end ofThe Breakfast Club, feeling like the luckiest man alive because Kamila fucking Morales loves me and nothing, nothinghas ever felt more right.

Chapter Fifty-Six

KAMILA

New Year’s Eve

Once my red lipstick is on and my hair is perfectly curled, I slip into my long black one-sleeved dress that has a slit coming up mid-thigh. The only thing missing are my earrings and sparkly black heels.

My phone vibrates with a text from my mom.

Mom: Be safe out there and let me know when you get back to Emma’s! Tell Cam Happy New Years. Love you xoxo.

Sending a heart emoji back, I smile, relieved that my mom and I have been able to talk openly with each other. She sat down with Ana on Christmas day once she saw that my sister had below a 2.0 GPA. For some reason, it was the last thing she needed to finally accept what I had said.

Mom threatened to take away Ana’s allowance and kick her out unless she agreed to three things: weekly individual therapy, biweekly online family therapy, which I’ll be a part of, and to maintain straight A’s and B’s until she graduates from community college.

My sister thought it was a hollow threat until my momsurprised all of us and drained her entire bank account, then threatened to stop paying her phone bill entirely. To say she freaked out is an understatement. Mom would never dump one of her daughters on to the street, but she knew something drastic needed to be done for everyone’s sake. Most importantly, my mother wanted her daughter to be okay.

It gives me hope for the future. I’m still going to save up to move out in case things don’t go according to plan. It is Ana, after all, unpredictable, irresponsible, and manipulative.

The door to Em’s bedroom cracks open while I finish texting my mom.

“Almost done getting ready, Em, I’ll be out in a sec,” I say without looking toward the entrance.

“Holyfuck.”

Smirking at the sound of his voice, I turn around slowly to see Cameron in a fitted suit. His eyes sweep me from head to toe while his mouth hangs open.

“You look breathtaking.” He closes the door and takes a step towards me.

“You don’t look too bad yourself, Kahlo.” That’s an understatement. Cameron looks hot as hell, and he knows it.

His full dark brown hair is styled perfectly, the suit is flawlessly tailored, his silver and red piercing sparkles against the light, matching my necklace, and to top it off, his face is completely shaved, showing his perfect jawline. He’s every girl’s wet dream.

Speaking of wet…

Cam is two steps away from me, his pupils dilated, and I know he’s ready to pounce. I put a hand up, warning him.

“Do not touch my hair or get come on my dress. It took two hours to look the way I do.”

He smirks and kisses me, not worried about ruining my lipstick and I’m too distracted to care. Respecting my boundaries, he grabs my ass and presses his erection against me.

Cam bites my lip and slowly lets it go. “You’re going to havemy come inside of you all night as a reminder that you’re mine. And when we get back, I’m going to come inside of you again and again while telling you how much I love you till you beg me to stop and even then, I won’t.”

“Cameron.” I’m practically dry-humping him while standing. “Unzip me.”

“No, I want to fuck you in that dress.”

His voice is deep, making me drop to my knees. I quickly unbuckle his pants with one hand, taking his boxers down with them, letting his cock spring free.
