I looked around at the mess all over the floor and window, then nodded. “Of epic proportions. But you deserved to have it. I don’t know how I’d be dealing with all of this if I were in your position.”

“Let’s just say I’m not about to let King off the hook with a few well-thrown egg rolls to the head. He has a lot of explaining to do.”

“And a lot of apologizing,” I added.

“That too.” Theo ran his tongue along my lower lip then waggled his brows. “Sticky.”

I shook my head and groaned. “Yeah, I am. All over and not in a good way.”

“Well, how about we go and take care of that?”

“Shower?” Now that sounded like heaven.

“Shower,” Theo agreed, already unbuttoning his shirt as we headed across the living room as though there wasn’t food over half of it.

That could wait. My man couldn’t.

It was time to wash tonight’s stain the hell off of us.

THEO

IDIDN’T KNOW how he’d done it, but somehow Shep managed to pull me out of the shit-tastic mood I’d been in since discovering the truth behind all the veiled attempts on my character and life.

I mean, really, I hardly needed help ruining my own reputation, or risking my life. But the fact that some asshole had targeted me because of King’s transgressions had really stuck in my craw. Especially since our leader had been so quick to believe all the things that had been said.

That was an argument for another day, though. Another day and another man, really. It wasn’t fair to direct my anger at Shep. He wasn’t the one who deserved it. And while I’d gotten some of my initial rage out at King back at the storage unit, we weren’t done there. I still had so many questions. And he needed to start giving me some fucking answers I could live with, because how in the hell was I ever supposed to trust him again?

I wasn’t going to think about that now, though. Not when I had Shep following me into his bathroom and my blood was still pumping from our impromptu food fight.

I smiled at the image of Shep’s stunned face when that first throw had hit him square in the back. I’d for sure thought he wasgoing to go ballistic, but once again Shepard Winchester shocked the hell out of me.

That gorgeous bastard had picked up a handful of noodles and thrown it right back. He’d known exactly what I needed and given it to me. Something I was hoping he’d do again, right now.

I balled up my shirt and tossed it in the corner of the bathroom, and as I reached for the button of my pants, Shep strode in shirtless and my hands froze in place.

Damn, but my man was fine. That chiseled jawline, the stubble lining it. The small earring in his left ear that caught under the light at times, reminding me that there was a hidden rebellious side under all those immaculate suits he dressed in.

Then there was that body.

As he moved in behind me and my view of all those ridged muscles vanished, I turned, not to be denied.

I hooked my fingers into the waistband of his pants and drew him forward, angling my head so I could scrape my teeth along that strong jaw I’d just been admiring.

“You’re so damn sexy,” I said as I nipped my way up to his ear. “Even covered in lo mein sauce.”

Shep chuckled and moved forward a step until my ass was pressed up against the bathroom counter. “And whose fault is that?”

“Mine. One hundred percent.” I flicked open the button of his pants and grinned. “But I’m not about to apologize. Not when you’re standing in front of me half naked.”

Shep turned his head and brushed his lips over the top of mine. “How about you get mefullynaked?”

“You read my mind.”

He grinned and flicked his tongue out to tease open my lips, as I slipped my hand inside his open pants. My man was already hard, like the fight had done more than just defuse my frustration—it’d turned us both on.

I wrapped my fingers around his cock, loving the way he felt in my hand. God, I also fucking loved the way he kissed. That talented tongue swept inside my mouth to tangle with mine, and I moaned around him.
