Satisfied he’d made all the points, he held out a hand to Ani. “Anywhere else you want to go since we’re out?”
“Shut up and take me home already,” Aneski growled. “Your come is ruining my pants.”
“I’ll buy you more.”
“Hell yeah you will.” Ani pulled him in close and then announced huskily, “After you put a couple more loads in me.”
“A couple, huh?”
“We’re going all night.”
Flix cocked his head. “Like seeing me jealous, Tiny Terror?”
“Absolutely love it.” It was such a messed-up thing to admit to, and yet Aneski didn’t so much as bat an eyelash when he did.
Going all night and well into the morning sounded better.
Chapter 23:
“I can do this on my own,” Aneski complained as they pulled into the driveway of the Shepard house. He’d been dragged out of bed an hour ago and would have been crankier if not for the phenomenal shower sex Flix had treated him to before telling him what was on the day’s agenda.
“What? Too embarrassed to be seen with me after last night?” Flix teased, undoing his seatbelt.
“That’s not it.” Though, admittedly, it was going to be a bit more difficult to look his friends in the eye, knowing at least one of them had seen him climax.
It shouldn’t make a difference whether it was on the screen or in real life, and yet it somehow did. He’d never been bothered thinking about Kage jerking off to his movies, but he felt a flood of embarrassment whenever he thought back to the boner supposedly in Gannon’s pants last night…
“Remember how I was onto you?” Flix said, lifting a brow when Ani frowned at him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He really didn’t.
“You can’t escape me, Tiny Terror.”
“Oh. That.” His half-assed plan to seduce Flix and then leave him in the middle of the night.
Flix’s eyes narrowed, and Aneski shrugged.
“It feels like a million years ago I considered maybe trying to do that to you. Things are different now.”
“That so?”
“Yeah,” he said. “For one, all of the Brumal know I’m your Onus after yesterday. Even if I wanted to run, I’d have to invest in one hell of a good disguise in order to sneak out of the city, and even then—”
“I’d still find you.”
“Exactly.” The Brumal mafia’s network held its home base in Valeo, but they had branches all over the planet. If he really wanted to leave, he’d have to attempt boarding a spaceship to do so and try his luck in a different part of the galaxy—or another galaxy entirely. Not only did he lack the funds for a trip like that, he also had no desire to flee the only home he’d ever known. “This is where I belong. I’m not going anywhere.”
Flix stared at him for a moment and then hummed and reached for the door. “One step at a time.”
He wondered if they were ever going to get to a place where they trusted one another again. In the past, there’d been no one else Aneski could count on more than the blond currently making his way to the front door of the Shepard house like he had a right to it. Flix was bold and attentive and, when he wanted to be, the kindest person in the universe.
But he was also abrasive and distrustful and petty. Last night was a clear reminder of that fact.
Ani had been trying to find the right time to mention his past arrangement with Yuze knowing eventually it would come to light, but he’d never in a million years anticipated that reaction from Flix. Gannon had been tossed into the mix as an afterthought; it’d been obvious the show Flix had made them put on last night had been for Yuze more than anyone else.
A warning and also a statement. One that had still resulted in Yuze getting punched at the end…If Flix was willing to do that tohisfriends, there was no telling what he’d do to Ani’s if pushed too far.
“Hey,” Ani clapped a hand over his shoulder to stop him just as they made it to the porch. “Maybe I should go first.”
