Now that he was coming to his senses, Rin was able to sort through his priorities and phenomenal orgasms? Yeah, unfortunately, those weren’t high on his list. They couldn’t be. Nipping this whole betrothal thing in the bud, however, was.

He needed to pick himself off this bathroom floor, end things with Kelevra, and go find his brother. In that order. And he needed to do it now.

If only his legs didn’t still feel like jelly. His mind may have settled, but his body was still a hot wreck after the rough fucking. Whether he liked it or not, he was staying on the ground for at least another five minutes.

“Come again?” Kelevra asked, lip sneering in the process. He looked coiled and ready to strike, clearly not having the same problem as Rin when it came to controlling his body. Since he’d been the aggressor in all of this, that wasn’t surprising.

“You heard me,” Rin barreled forward despite the visceral warning. Pissing off the Imperial Prince a second time could cost him, and his ass smarted as though in protest even as he continued to mouth off. “I’m rejecting your proposal. I won’t marry you.”

Kelevra stared at him for a lengthy moment, then he was hauling Rin up, propping him against the wall. He stooped and freed his ankles from the soaked pants, leaving them in a heap on the ground. “Stay.”

Rin bristled but didn’t respond, using all of his energy to remain upright instead as he waited.

It wasn’t long before Kel returned carrying a pair of gray sweatpants he must have gotten from Rin’s locker.

“It was locked,” he said dumbly as Kelvera knelt once more, easing first one foot and then the next into the pants.

“I know the code,” Kel replied, rising as he tugged the pants into place. He pulled a shirt Rin hadn’t noticed from beneath his arm and got him into that next, smoothing down the wayward strands of sandy-gold hair after.

Rin’s earlier thought came back to him and he smiled wryly, shaking his head at Kelevra’s questioning look. “Nothing. You’re just set on taking this all the way. It’s amusing.”

“This?” His eyes narrowed.

“Treating me like a doll. You positioned me like one, dressed me like one, and now you’re even brushing my hair? It’s like you think I’m a shiny new toy bought by your sisters for your birthday.”

“You are.”

Rin froze. “What?”

“Not the toy part,” Kelevra corrected, adjusting the collar of the new t-shirt he’d put Rin in. “I asked them to let me pick my Royal Consort as their gift to me. It’s in a month, didn’t you know?”

No, he did not, because up until this point, Rin’s goal had been to avoid anyone with high-standing authority.

“You’re telling me,” he bit out, “you consider me a birthday gift?”

Kelevra shrugged. “For my eighteenth, I was given Zane. It’s not uncommon for an Imperial to receive a person as a present.”

Royal Zane Solace. Rin recognized the name. He was part of Kelevra’s Retinue.

“I’m going to punch you again,” Rin threatened. “As soon as I get the feeling back in my legs.”

That frown returned. “What’s wrong with your legs?”

“Oh, I don’t know, maybe we should shove an eight-inch dick up your ass without any warning and see how well you can stand afterward, prick!” Ah, there was the anger. Rin almost sighed in relief when he felt it. If nothing else, it was familiar.

“Are you injured?” Kelevra, the complete and total fucker, actually looked legitimately concerned.

Rin was tempted to call bullshit, but then he realized it actually panned out. “Worried you broke your new plaything already?” He clicked his tongue derisively.

“I take care of what’s mine,” Kelevra said.

“Don’t include me on that list,” Rin told him. “I am not, and will never be, yours.”

Kel’s grabbed a fistful of the hair he’d just painstakingly combed and straightened and pulled Rin off the wall. Chest to chest, he secured him with an arm around his waist, his free hand cupping one of Rin’s ass cheeks and squeezing hard enough it would most likely bruise there as well.

Rin would have shot off some other snide remarks, but self-preservation finally clicked into gear, and he recognized the darkness in Kel’s eyes. It wasn’t empty like his brothers or heated like he knew his own got sometimes.

Kelevra’s gaze was smoldering, promising pain and retribution.
