Kel tipped his head. “That scares you.”
Yes. “No. I’m just curious why you’d say something like that. We’re relative strangers.”
“I’ve been inside of you.”
“You forced yourself inside of me,” Rin corrected, swallowing the bile that threatened to rise and leak all over his resolve. He wouldn’t crack. Not in front of this man. Not again. Seeing his brother had reminded him of what was important. Of what was at stake.
“Is it considered wrong that I enjoyed that part of it?” Kelevra asked then, and for a split second it was almost as though Rin were talking with his brother instead. The seriousness on his face gave away he wasn’t just asking to be snarky or mean. He legitimately wanted to know.
And that was the other reminder he needed.
Kelevra was a sociopath. Like Rin’s brother, he’d struggle to grasp common social concepts. Still, as the Imperial Prince, surely he’d been taught how to handle his own urges and blend with society…
Wait. Actually. He most likely wouldn’t have been. If everything Rin had heard about the guy was correct, Kelevra was coddled by his siblings, just as he had been by his parents.
His brother’s problem was he had to keep his true self hidden from their father.
Kelevra’s issue was the opposite. He’d been allowed to exist unchecked, and the results were a devil running rampant in the streets.
Would that happen with his brother if their plan was fruitful and they managed to escape?
“Consent is an important factor in any relationship,” Rin said, trying not to think about his brother or what might one day come to pass. “It shows respect.”
“There are other ways to show respect.”
“No,” he stated. “There aren’t.”
Kelevra hummed thoughtfully. “Are you saying you didn’t like it?”
“It was the drug.” Not a full lie.
“Ah,” he didn’t sound convinced, “so, you’re telling me if I threw you down and mounted you right here and now, you wouldn’t be turned on by my show of dominance?”
Considering there was no door and the stairwell was right there where anyone could walk up and see? “No.”
Some of Kelevra’s good mood noticeably vanished. “You’re telling the truth.”
Rin felt his spine stiffen.
“That’s not going to work for me.” Suddenly, Kel spun Rin around, slamming his front down over the table. He captured his wrists and tied something around them, securing them together at Rin’s narrow back.
Rin coughed as a cloud of dust from the surface gusted up into his face, then growled and tried to kick back at the large body pinning him. He managed to land a kick to Kelevra’s shin, but then his legs were forced apart, spread wide enough to accommodate the other man between them. A hand settled on his hip and then Kelevra humped against his ass, causing him to immediately freeze when he felt the hard bulge behind his pants.
“Relax,” Kelevra drawled, slowly dragging his confined cock back and forth over Rin. “I’m testing a theory. Believe it or not, I’m attempting something out of character, trying to see the bigger picture before I make an irrational decision based solely on my dick.”
“I am not having sex with you again,” Rin said firmly. “Ever.”
“As I’ve just proven, I can easily overpower you, Flower. You aren’t used to that, are you? I bet you’re typically the one with the most physical strength in your relationships. Maybe that’s why you get so hard for me when I take control like this.”
“I do not!” some of that fear and anger slipped through his tone and Rin internally cursed at himself.
“That so?” Kelevra shifted, and in the next instant his hand was slapping against Rin’s junk, squeezing him hard enough to have him hissing. “What do you call this then? Pretty sure it’s a boner.”
“I hate you!” Rin pressed his forehead against the solid wood and focused on his breathing, desperate to get his body to cooperate and calm down before he gave more away.
It wasn’t even that he liked the Imperial Prince—he didn’t. He was deplorable, arrogant, and neurotic. But he was pretty, and big, and last night Rin had experienced the best orgasms he’d ever had in his entire life.
Because of the drug.
