Rin nodded to himself again. “And rape? You’ll force me if I say no, won’t you.”
“I want you,” he shrugged. “And the drug will help you feel good, if nothing else.”
“So you’re glad I took the drug?”
What was going on? Why did Kelevra suddenly feel like the shoe was on the other foot and he was the one left in the dark. “I couldn’t care less which pill you ended up taking. If I did, I wouldn’t have given you the choice at all.”
“And if I tell you I think you probably have a tiny pencil dick and couldn’t get it up without having to hurt someone in the first place, and that your body chain is stupid and tacky, how—”
Kel shot forward, yanking Rin onto his feet, pinning him roughly against the window by his throat. The only thing that kept him from full-on squeezing was the knowing glimmer in Rin’s gaze and the way his cock was still throbbing.
“What the hell are you playing at, cadet?” he growled, low and dangerous, making sure all the malice that was twisting up inside of him, threatening to strip away any of the good feelings and replace them with the urge to kill could be heard loud and clear.
But even after hearing it—and it was so obvious that he understood the threat—Rin didn’t flinch.
“Sociopath, right?” he asked.
Kel’s grip faltered.
The corner of Rin’s perfectly formed full lips turned up smugly. “I like digging around for people’s secrets, too, Kelevra.”
He’d been diagnosed as a child after the fifth explosive tantrum had ended with his nanny tossed over a balcony. After, he’d been sad she was gone only because no one else read him stories the same way she did, but aside from that, he hadn’t regretted it. If she’d wanted to keep her brains in her skull, she shouldn’t have told him green wasn’t really his color.
Kel looked fucking good ineverycolor. That bitch.
“This was impulsive,” Rin continued when Kel remained quiet. “You saw me and wanted me because I’m shiny and new. You’ll fuck me, get bored, and move on, right? That’s typically how this goes for people like you.”
“Careful, cadet.” He didn’t like the way the other guy was analyzing him right now. Like Kel was some lab rat to be poked at and prodded.
“I’m doing the same thing you tried to do with me,” Rin pointed out. “Though, I guess hypocrisy probably isn’t something you can relate to, can you? That means acknowledging you aren’t always right, and that’s no doubt something you struggle with.”
“You are starting to make the bullet possibility sound a lot more appealing,” Kelevra warned. “Or maybe I should stuff your mouth with something to prevent you from speaking.”
“I can’t tell you why I threw the competition if I’m gagged,” Rin said.
Annoyed, Kel slapped a hand against Rin’s junk, squeezing him through his pants hard enough to wipe that look off his face. As soon as the cadet gasped, he eased up a bit, slipping lower to cup his balls, testing their weight in his hand.
Rin moaned and arched into the touch, clearly furious with himself afterward. That glare had returned full force, but his pink tongue slid between his lips to wet them, and the sheen of sweat on his brow, as the drug continued to keep him locked in that state of arousal, dimmed the accompanying hatred.
Not that Kelevra cared if Rin ended up hating him. He didn’t. Mostly because the guy was right. More likely than not, Kel was going to bed him, get him out of his system, and then wake up bored and over it in the morning. He’d never slept with the same person twice, and he doubted that was going to change just because he was a little curious about Rin’s motive at the competition.
“You asked if I wanted to fight for it,” Rin reminded. “That still an option?”
“Changing your tune?” Kel narrowed his eyes.
“Well yeah. I know what you are now. That changes everything. Brings it into perspective, you might say.”
What he didn’t voice was that Rin really meant it provided him with a better angle, a better way to handle Kelevra. He was still trying to get out of this, to escape, he was merely adjusting to the circumstances, adapting for self-preservation. That was clever.
Clever was sexy.
Kelevra pushed a thigh between Rin’s rubbing his knee against the bulge in his pants experimentally.
Rin’s eyes slipped shut and he tipped his head back, moaning at the contact. He started rubbing himself against Kel, shamelessly reaching out to grab onto his hips to keep him close as he started full-on humping.
“The drug is taking effect,” Kelevra said, and Rin made a sound of agreement in the back of his throat but didn’t open his eyes. “Still want to fight?”
Rin considered it. “If I go out there like this right now, I’ll jump the first person who comes onto me, I just know it.”
