“Heterochromia,” he said, mostly to himself, tipping his head so he could glance between each of Rin’s eyes. “They’re beautiful.” The one on the right was a pale pastel blue, and the one on the left was pastel green. “I’ve never seen these shades before though.”

“What did you give me?” Rin squeezed his eyes shut and then gasped and clutched at his lower abs.

“You picked the poison,” Kelevra reminded, a rush of adrenaline coursing through him as he watched his cadet internally fight against the effects. He’d never used this particular drug on anyone before—it wasn’t his style—but when he’d asked Madden to get him something that could put someone in the mood, his insane best friend had gone the extreme route.

He held up the black pill, rolling it between two fingers. “This one would have made you tell the truth. We could have had a really in-depth conversation. Could have stayed up all night getting acquainted.”

The spot between Rin’s brow furrowed. “Why do I get the feeling you don’t mean that in the nice way it’s meant to sound?”

“Probably because you’re smarter than you let on,” Kelevra drawled, crouching before him. “I could tell from the first time our eyes met you sensed it.”

“Somethingsoffabout you,” Rin didn’t hold back, maybe because of the waves of intense need that were taking control of him, or maybe because he actually didn’t care about angering Kelevra anymore.

Everyone had a limit. Maybe getting drugged was his. If so, that would be a major pity.

Kel was just getting started.

“It’s in the eye,” Rin added when Kel didn’t say anything.

“Singular?” Interesting.

Rin nodded. “The one on the right is a fake, isn’t it. Can you even see out of it?”

Very few people knew about that, and even fewer ever got close enough to notice the slight difference. Kel was impressed.

“It’s an implant,” he explained. “Insight Eye. Computer. Connects to my brain and my multi-slate. Yes, I can see, but it’s different from a normal eye. For one, I can see a lot more than the average person, like, as an example, the rate of your heart beat—which has steadily been on the rise since you stepped off the elevator. I can also see your body temperature—that’s also gone up.”

“Yeah,” Rin snapped, “because you gave me a drug that’s making me feel like my dick is about to be twisted off!”

Kel laughed. “Everyone at the Academy says you’re a fun-loving, calm individual. But you aren’t are you? You’ve got a dirty mouth and a filthy mind. You were practically eye fucking me back at the pool.”

“You’re delusional!” Rin slapped his hand away when Kel reached out to touch him.

He had every right to be angry, and yet Kelevra felt a spark of fury within himself at the rejection. If he were a better person, he’d storm out of here and leave the cadet to handle his needs on his own. Actually, if he’d been better, he probably wouldn’t have given him the pill in the first place. But he’d been curious, eager to see which way the night might end up going if the choice were left to Rin instead.

“I’m not just interested in your body if that helps,” he explained, noting the way Rin inhaled sharply at that. “I really would have settled for talking if you’d picked the black pill. Alas, you didn’t.” He rose to his feet, staring down at Rin, not bothering to mask the hunger he was feeling. His cock was already swollen and achy, the tip poking out of the top of his swim trunks.

The second Rin noticed he scrambled backward, hitting the window with a hard thud.

“Have you forgotten about the audience?” Kel asked, motioning with his chin over Rin’s shoulder. “Is that your thing?”

“What?” Rin glanced over then turned back, his eyes wide. “No.”

“You sure?”

“Stop this,” he ordered. “You’re supposed to be mentoring me, not,” he waved his hand down at his dick, “feeding me sex pills!”

Kel snorted. “Sex pills.” That was hilarious. “You were already hot for me, Rin, I merely sped you along.”

“I was not, and this isn’t going to happen.”

Kelevra watched the tiny symbol hovering in the right corner of his vision jump up, indicating Rin’s heartrate had increased yet again. The cadet’s throat bobbed as he swallowed, and the censor in Kel’s eye followed that as well, the wordanxiouspopping up on the screen. The eye could detect certain reactions and estimate what those reactions could be toward.

According to the readings, Rin was anxious as all hell.

And horny.

Very, very, horny.
