She snuggled against him, resting her head against his shoulder, and sighed.

“That felt good,” he whispered against the side of her head.

“Next time, I want to try to have sex.”

He smiled to himself. “You know, what we did was sex.”

She went up on one elbow. “I mean the other stuff.”

“Intercourse? Yes, we’ll get there, eventually. I just don’t want to hurt you.”

She shrugged. "From what I read in the books my mom had, it's part of it."

He shrugged. “It doesn’t have to be super painful.” He pulled her down beside him and kissed the side of her head. “We can take it slow and get you ready before we actually haveintercourse. I want you to experience pleasure every time we have sex.”

He felt her body shiver, and she went up on one elbow. “You touching me while you were licking me, that felt amazing. I can’t imagine anything feeling that good.”

His laughter filled the room. “I’ll take that as a challenge and see how much better I can make it for you.”

She smiled down at him, her gaze full of love. This woman looked at him like she really cared. He wasn’t going to ruin this. She deserved a good man, and he was going to give her so much love she could feel it deep in her bones.

Calla couldn’t believe beingwith Thario was so good. When it came time for her to leave, she didn’t want to go, but they weren’t at the point of living together, yet.

Elowen didn't say anything about her goofy smile or how distracted she was, which was nice of her. She had little doubt that it was obvious that she and Thario had connected.

After dinner, Griz took Knuckles out for a run. Elowen brought over a mug of tea for her and sat beside her.

“So, you and Thario.”

Calla's face heated. "Yeah, Thario."

“I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about protection. Like maybe you should get on the pill or something.”

Heat flashed through her whole body, and she ducked her head. "I don't know."

“I think it would be wise.”

"You're probably right. I haven't had sex, and I should protect myself."

Elowen nodded. “I want you to think about it, and I can drive you to the pharmacy tomorrow to pick up the pill.”

Calla was surprised. "You mean I can get on it without a doctor's appointment?"

Elowen nodded. “Yes. You can look up information and think about it before we go.”

"Thank you. You're right. I've been out of the loop for so long, I didn't really think about birth control."

"Don't have sex without a condom for now. I love Thario, and I know he's a good man now, but he was a playboy for years. He did things that he shouldn't have, and you can't ignore the fact that he used women for sex. You have to protect yourself. My warning doesn't mean that I don't like you being with Thario, but until you know him better, always insist on a condom."

Elowen reached into her pocket and pulled out a couple of small packages. Calla heated again.

“Condoms?”

"Yes. And I'll buy a box and put them in your bathroom. That way, you can have access to them whenever you need them. I just don't want you to end up regretting sleeping with Thario."

Calla nodded. She felt weird talking about this with Elowen, but her experience level was zero. She needed someone looking out for her.

“Thank you. I know this probably wasn’t a conversation you wanted to have.”
