Tasting herself on his fingers only fueled her arousal. She sucked on his fingers, swirling her tongue around to clean them as he thrust into her, making it a point to keep quiet as she met each thrust.

“Good girl,” he praised.

Everything about what they were doing felt wrong. From that angle, she was beyond full, and it wasn’t long before her breathing increased, and all of her focus was on that one place in her body. She was wound tight, and desperate for release.

“Please,” she begged. “Harder.”

With that, he slipped his fingers out of her mouth and gripped her hips. “Don’t make a sound.”

He plunged into her, deep and fast. She met each thrust as she chased her release, her breaths coming out in harsh pants. Keeping quiet was nearly impossible. Tears stung her eyes as the tightening in her core released into the most intense orgasm she’d ever experienced. Christian released her hip with one hand and wrapped her hair around his hand, pulling her head back as he emptied himself into her.

“Fuck,” he breathed as he continued to pulse inside her.

After a moment, she felt him pull out before moving her panties back into place. She was a mess; wet and sticky from their love making.

“I’ll go out first,” Christian said as he zipped up and buckled his belt. “Don’t clean up. I want the mess we made to remind you where I’ve been.”

Chapter 22

MALLORY

Mallory woke up on her couch, wrapped in Christian’s arms. The blanket was half on the floor, and she was sweating from the heat of his body. When they had gotten home from dinner, Lily was already asleep. Somehow, Christian had managed to carry her to bed without waking her.

Not wanting to spend another night apart, and not wanting Lily to feel uncomfortable by finding them in bed together, they settled on sleeping on the couch. True, there wasn’t much of a difference between sleeping in the bed fully clothed, and sleeping on the couch fully clothed, but it made Mallory feel better.

She had barely become fully awake before she heard soft footsteps coming from down the hall. Fighting the instinct to sit up and out of Christian’s embrace, she instead waited for Lily to come into the room.

“Good morning,” she whispered before holding her finger over her mouth and pointing to a sleeping Christian. “You hungry?”

Lily smiled and nodded, seemingly unbothered by the sight of them curled up together. Mallory carefully untangled herself from Christian’s arms and stood from the couch, covering him up before she made her way to the kitchen.

“How was it last night? Did you have a good time with Dan?” Mallory asked as she started a pot of coffee.

“Yeah, it was fine. What about you and Dad?”

Mallory hoped her blush wasn’t noticeable as her mind immediately flashed to the coatroom. “We had fun, too. I’ve never been to that restaurant before.”

She pulled the electric griddle from the cabinet and set it on the counter. “Pancakes okay?”

Lily smiled and took a seat at the island. Mallory took that as a yes and took out the pancake mix, eggs, and milk. Making them from scratch felt like entirely too much work. She was tired from the evening’s activities and staying up late. She and Christian had talked for over an hour about nothing and everything once they had settled on the couch. It was a great night.

Pancakes were quick, so it wasn’t long before Mallory set the large serving dish on the island before serving up to plates and sliding one over to Lily. “So, what did you guys do? Anything fun?”

Lily smiled before answering. “We played Mad Libs. I thought it was a stupid suggestion, but it was actually really funny.”

Mallory chuckled around her fork as she shoveled in her first bite. “That sounds like fun. What else?”

Lily started eating before she answered the question. “I don’t know. We just talked a lot. Watched TV. I don’t need a babysitter, you know. So, we just hung out.”

“Nice. Well, I’m glad you had a good time. I think it was good for all of us to have a change in scenery.”

“You guys don’t have to sleep on the couch, you know. I’m not a baby.”

Mallory nearly choked on her food. The kid was mature for her age, but she never expected her to come out and say that. Without children of her own, she wasn’t sure what the appropriate response was. Once she stopped coughing, she tried to quickly think of something to say since “I’m glad you’re okay with me banging your dad” didn’t seem like the thing to say.

“Good morning sweetheart,” Christian said from behind Mallory. She had been so wrapped up in trying to think of a response that she hadn’t even noticed that he moved from the couch.

He placed a kiss on top of Mallory’s head and squeezed her shoulders as he spoke over her and to his daughter. “You sleep okay?”
