What the fuck, screw it.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer, moving my legs apart so we could meet in the middle. His lips were on mine in a second—I practically threw myself on him, greedily kissing back, overtaken by the passion and spark. It was unbelievable what this was doing to me; it was like I’d never been kissed before in my life.

I bit his lip and deepened the kiss, our lips moving together as his hands ran up my sides and under my shirt. It was the same slight aggressiveness as before, only this time even more so. I ran my nails through his hair and grabbed a handful, wanting nothing more than to take him right here. Anywhere, actually. Any place he wants, he can have me. I don’t even care anymore.

I squeaked in surprise when he broke the kiss and was suddenly on the coffin, his chains clanging as he pushed me down, pinning me with a hand on each side. I wriggled beneath him, trying to see if I could move. His grip loosened to let me if I wanted, but I stayed put.

“Changing your mind?” He raised an eyebrow, then smiled when I shook my head. There is no way in hell I’m changing my mind about this.“Good.”

He pulled my legs up in a straddle and kissed me. I tightened them and ground my hips into his, kissing more fiercely than before. I ran my nails up his neck and grabbed his hair again, biting his lip and sucking off the drop of blood it brought.

I could feel his bulge against my growing wetness. Even though it was through both our clothes, I was so ready to rip them all off and throw them across the room. I started kissing down his neck while his hands reached my chest, caressing my nipples through the new lingerie I’dmaybebought for him.

I nipped his neck and sucked the skin, hoping to leave my mark whether it would heal or not. Leaving a hickey was like marking my territory, which he very much was at the moment.

“I’m not your territory.” He pulled away to look at me. Or more like my chest and then me. His eyes were nearly black.“You’re mine.”

“No, I’m not.” I started to sit up, but he pushed me back down.

“You are. I already told you, I own you.”

“Don’t start with that again—” My protest cut short when he lowered between my legs. He kissed my stomach. Then a second kiss, and a third one, his lips trailing lower each time. My breath caught as he unbuttoned and unzipped my shorts, still trailing kisses. He was slowly pulling them off.“Wait.” I sat up, though he was still between my legs. I scooted back as he gave me a questioning look.“I can’t. I’m sorry,” I meant it one hundred percent,“I’m really, really sorry! I don’t mean to do this, I promise. I keep going back and forth and back—”

“It’s okay,” he said.“Why are you so conflicted about this?”

“I don’t know.” I stood and ran a hand through my hair, then glanced down when I saw him staring. I zipped and buttoned my shorts before looking at him.“I’m sorry.”

“Stop apologizing. It’s fine,” he said. I could tell he meant it, but I still felt horrible. “Don’t feel bad. I’m fine. We can just hang out and talk, if you want. I’ll be good. Promise.” He held up his hands with a playful smile, which made my dilemma even worse.

“I’m gonna go. Before I… yeah. I’ll be out there.” I bit my lip as he stared, probably waiting for me to start making sense.

“I’ll be here.”

I didn’t respond and walked away. I hesitantly shut his door once I was in the hall, then sighed and let my head fall against it.

What am I even doing? I’m being such an indecisive tease, and he’s not even annoyed by it. But then again,he’s been trying to seduce me this whole time. Which isn’t really his fault, because every single thing about him is the definition of what turns me on. So him existing is kind of seduction in itself, which I guess he can’t help.

“Ugh.” I reached for the doorknob, then stopped at his amused laughter from the other side. I need to leave.

I walked halfway down the hall before stopping and going back. I froze a few steps from his door. Should I? No. But I want to so bad…

“The door’s unlocked, whenever you wanna come back.” His voice carried through the door.

“I’m not gonna.”

“Suit yourself.” His tone was indifferent.

“I will,” I muttered, more to myself than anything. I spun on my heel and walked down the hall before I could think twice about it.

Keep your resolve, Emy. Don’t go back.

“Did he like your tattoo?” Ari asked, glancing over as I came in. She was playing video games with Sean and Mateo.

“Yeah.” I tried to sound nonchalant as I sat on Sean’s other side.“Do you actually like this game?”

“She loves it,” Sean answered for her, grinning as she shrugged.

“I guess I kinda like it. You’re being quieter than usual. What’s up?”
