“Sounds… riveting,” Riley said, and Cole merely smiled, his attention snapping to the television as the game started.
Josh leaned closer to his boyfriend—he was so excited for him to be his boyfriend—and whispered in his ear, “We don’t have to read the books now that weknow the authors, right?”
Riley chuckled and dropped his forehead against Josh’s.
“If we do, it will be together,” he said, dipping his chin so he could reach Josh’s lips, giving him a soft kiss that warmed his whole body.
Together sounded pretty good to him.

THE NEXT MORNING, BOTH Riley and Josh walked into the gym with a spring in their step.
Telling their best friends had gone perfectly, especially thanks to Cole’s big reveal.
Riley couldn’t believe Cole was CJ Rollins the whole time.The whole time. Looking back, they really should have figured it out.
They’d decided to fill the rest of the Gym Rat Pack in on the news that morning before the workout.
When they walked in, they stripped out of their knit hats, but kept their hoodies on. It was chilly in the gym first thing in the morning and they usually needed to work up a sweat during the warmup before they could strip to their workout gear.
As they stepped into the workout area, Tobias was in his place at the computer like usual, setting up theworkout for the day with Chase beside him, while everyone else stretched and loosened sore muscles and muttered hellos to the pair. They were all still half asleep.
Riley needed the foam roller so he grabbed one from the stack and dropped to the floor, lying on top of it and rolling back and forth to work out the kinks. He was tight thanks to his and Josh’s celebration the previous night.
They’d tried doggy style for the first time, and part of Riley hated it because he couldn’t see Josh. He had spent too much time twisting awkwardly, trying to watch Josh and kiss him. Now, he felt the pain from his desperation. They’d have to use a mirror next time so he wouldn’t hurt his back.
The thought left him smiling as he continued to roll, forgetting about his surroundings until Hunter broke him out of his thoughts.
“Dude, you look way too happy for this early in the morning,” Hunter said. “What, you get laid last night or something?”
Josh chuckled as he worked his shoulders with a long PVC pipe.
“As a matter of fact, I did,” Riley said proudly.
“No way, let’s hear some details,” Hunter said.
“I don’t think he needs to share. That sounds private,” Carson said, his face getting pinker under the gym lights.
“Nah, I have a feeling you guys will enjoy thesedetails,” Cole said as he stood over Riley.
Riley finished with the foam roller and held out a hand to Cole, who lifted him off the ground with ease. He turned to Josh to see him beaming.
“What do you think, Josh? You think we should tell them any dirty details?”
“Wait, are you saying what I think you’re saying?” Garrett said, the conversation finally getting his attention.
“You and Josh?” Hunter shrieked. “No way. For real?”
All Riley did was smile.
Tobias and Chase had made their way over during the commotion.
“You two finally figure your shit out?” Tobias asked. Riley swore he could see a twinkle of amusement in the stoic man’s eyes.
“Yes, we did, thank you very much,” Josh said. “Riley and I are boyfriends and we’re in love and it’s the best news ever.”
“Congrats, that’s great for you two,” Carson said brightly.
