Thalia gasped, suddenly aware of what was about to happen. Caspian straddled her, his knees around her waist, his arms by her head. He looked down at her, again, those eyes telling her that there was nothing to fear.
“I… I am,” she said, her voice cracking. “I am ready.”
“Good,” he whispered. “So am I.”
The next few minutes existed for Thalia as if she was outside of her own body, watching from across the room. Caspian took a moment to position himself, shuffling down and opening her legs as he bent himself forward. He used one hand to position his member, keeping eye contact with her the whole while. Thalia lay still, not sure what to do, wanting to grab and touch and hold him, while not wanting to make a mistake.
That was when she felt his member pressing against her womanhood. Her eyes widened and he saw her discomfort, forcing him to slow down as he gently rubbed himself against her lips.
“Tell me if I hurt you,” he said.
“I… I will.”
He smiled and it was warm and comforting like she did not know was possible for him. She focused on that smile, keeping it close as Caspian slowly and carefully entered her.
“Urgh…” she moaned and shut her eyes and clenched her jaw. Her breathing stopped. Her body went stiff. And she bit into her lip as she felt him slide deeper inside of her.
It was uncomfortable at first. It hurt just a little. But Caspian was tender, he did not rush, and with his body pressed so close to her own, with his arms around her, she felt safe and looked after. She knew nothing could hurt her.
Finally, he was all the way in, by which point the pain was gone and the discomfort was starting to dissipate.
“Ready?” he asked.
“Ready for what?” she said.
He smiled and leaned down and started to kiss her. It caught her by surprise, but she accepted it like a starving animal accepting water. And as soon as their lips touched, Caspian pulled his hips back and thrust himself forward.
“Oh!” she ripped her lips free and cried out.
“Thalia?” he paused. “Are you…”
“Again,” Thalia said. “Do that again.”
Caspian did not argue.
He started slowly, long and deep thrusts that were not too hard or intense. Each one made Thalia cry out so that she thought that she might start to weep. Soon, he started to increase his pace and the force of each thrust, moving to the rhythm of her breathing, making sure to look at her the whole time so he knew that she was enjoying himself.
And she certainly was that.
In that moment, all of Thalia’s concerns about her marriage faded and vanished and she could not believe that she had been so against this in the first place. She could not fathom how she had not believed that she and Caspian could work together as husband and wife.
The experience was just so raw. So real. And so intimate. Thalia’s legs wrapped around Caspian’s waist. His head was buried in her neck. She grabbed hold of his hair and his shoulders and his butt and anything that she could get her hands around. He moaned and groaned and growled like an animal.
Their breathing became one. Their hearts beat together. Their bodies joined and wrapped and melted until they were one being and all the while the pleasure continued to build inside of Thalia so that she thought she might explode.
“Thalia…” Caspian was breathing heavily as he continued to thrust. “I am about to… I am…”
“Yes,” she cried. “Yes!”
He thrust forward with such force that the bed creaked and groaned, and the walls of the room rattled. He threw back his head and moaned to the ceiling. And Thalia felt him explode inside of her, his seed filling her, the entire purpose of why they were doing this.
In truth, Thalia had been enjoying herself so much that she had nearly forgotten all about it.
When they were done, Caspian collapsed next to her on the bed. On instinct, because it felt right, Thalia crawled in beside him and his arm wrapped around her so that she could snuggle into his chest. She had one strand of hair fall across her face and he looked down and moved it back for her in a way that might have been more intimate than the sex they’d just had.
Perhaps it was too soon to think it? It was certainly too soon to say it. But after what had just happened, Thalia was starting to see that other side of her husband. Able to see it now, she knew with all her heart that he was feeling what she was. He had to be.
“That was something,” Thalia said after a few minutes. She made sure to lace it with humor, because that felt best.
