“What has you worried, sweetness?”
“What… umm…. What am I doing here?”
“Because there are things I can’t give Hayden.”
“And things I can’t give Declan,” I clarified.
Declan’s gaze met mine as electricity surged between us. We loved each other. I’d never once doubted that. We had so much shit to figure out still. I’d had enough of denying myself and punishing him for lying and hiding who and what he was. All it had done was make us both miserable assholes who fell into dangerous coping mechanisms.
I brushed his cheek with my thumb and said to her, “We’ve told you, we think you could be what makes our two mismatched puzzle pieces fit together.”
“But…” Declan began his boring into mine. “We want you to know what you’re getting into.”
“Yes,” I murmured and turned back to her.
“From almost the beginning, we’ve known we’d needed a third to make our marriage work. I’m a possessive asshole and sharing Declan with another man would never work.”
“Same.” The word became garbled by the growl that accompanied it.
“But we let something tear us apart before we could pursue adding someone to our dynamic. We spent three long, lonely years yearning for each other.”
She nodded. We’d mentioned all this in passing, but I needed her to hear it all at once before she agreed to enter further into our relationship. So, I knelt before her, I flayed myself and my marriage open for her inspection and judgment. Because I couldn’t do anything with her, without Declan and without her knowing all the details, because if I did and she turned us down, I’d feel like I cheated on my husband. And that was something I’d never do.
Declan smiled at me, and we turned to look at Marcie together.
“So, the ball’s in your court, colibrí. Think you can handle two possessive alpha males who want to own you and your orgasms body and soul, but who also want you to take the biggest leap of faith ever and dive into a relationship, a real one, not just a Daddy kinky one, either, but a real relationship we could build on for years?”

MARCIE
Did he mean years to come, as in forever?
Quit asking stupid questions. Grab the present given to you that you’ve always wanted, and don’t let go.
“Yes, sir. I think I can handle that.”
“Think you can or you can, sweetness? Because Papi and I wanna play for keeps.”
I looked from Hayden to Declan and gulped. Good gracious they were so freaking hot.
“I can.”
Or I hoped I could. This could all blow up in our faces. Or mine. They were married.
“Good. Now for the questions. I know you and Declan were together and we’ll be talking about teasing Papi with sexy ass pictures when his subs are hundreds of miles away and can’t help a guy out, but we need to know… have you played before?”
Okay. That was an easy one.
“Yes. Some, but…”
“But… what?”
“Only in a club with a Daddy for a night.”
“And you said you use the stoplights?”
“Yep.”
