“I think anything is possible if we both work toward the same goal.”
“And the weird Daddy/boy shit we’ve got lurking in the background?”
“You complaining?”
A long, slow, deep breath got sucked in and held before he let it out in a huff.
“Yes and no.”
“Well, that’s a noncommittal committal.”
“Oooh! Do you like Madam Secretary too?”
“What’s not to like? There’s drama, politics, love, intrigue, spy shit. Plus, Téa Leoni is smoking, and Tim Daly isn’t so bad either. For an older guy.”
His eyes narrowed, and he said, “Cut it with the old guy crap, youngen.”
I smirked as I dropped my sunglasses on my nose and laid my head back against the lounge chair. If this was what a relationship with Declan Holt would be like, I could get on board with it. He was seemingly a good, honest man who was also smart, funny, and hella sexy. The sex was outta this world incredible. He was submissive enough that my control freak didn’t wig out and dominant enough to keep things interesting.
Glancing over at him, at my husband, my ass twinged.
And… he had a fucking spectacular cock.
Yeah. I could get used to having a husband if it was Declan Holt.

DECLAN
Iwalked into the beach house, still trying to wrap my head around everything that had happened in the last week and a half. Hurricane Hayden had taken my world by storm and, if I was being honest, I was reeling but ecstatic. He called to me, and I responded to him in a way I never expected or wanted, but damn if it didn’t feel good.
“You’re back,” Heidi said as she wandered out of the kitchen with a bowl of fruit and yogurt in her hand.
“Yeah, I am.”
I nabbed a berry from the bowl, popping it in my mouth.
“Hey! Get your own food!” she protested, twisting the bowl out of my reach.
It was no use; I topped her by several inches. I reached around her and grabbed another piece of fruit. A large chunk of pineapple this time.
“I hate you. You know that, right?”
Laughing, I licked the juice from my fingers, and her eyes went wide. She grabbed my hand, her thumbnail just below the yellow circle I was still getting used to.
“Someone’s got some explaining to do.”
I pulled my hand from her grasp.
“What’s to explain? I got married.”
“To who?”
“You didwhat?”
Heidi’s voice rose half an octave as Walker joined the fray.
“His name is Hayden. He’s a Marine, and I got married.”
