Holding her stare he slid into her in one firm thrust. Lowering his mouth back to hers, he swallowed the sigh that escaped her lips before returning his attention to her neck. The room swam around her as she concentrated on his rhythmic movements, raising her hips to meet him on every push.
As their breathing became more rapid Grace gripped him firmly, pulling him deeper into her with each movement. Feeling her tremble around him, Alex increased his thrusts infinitesimally pushing her onwards towards her goal. Digging her heels into the bed and grabbing the sheets in her fists, he watched as the sheen on their bodies glistened beneath him.
“Let go, baby, please,” he gasped as she bucked below him.
The air rushed from her now as her whole bodyshook. Keeping his rhythm steady Alex helped her ride the earthquake that shuddered through her, finding his release as she fell with him.
As their bodies calmed, Alex kissed her closed eyelids before suckling at her neck as he separated from her to remove the condom. Pulling the covers over them Grace snuggled into his chest, content and spent.
“I hate those fucking things,” he grumbled as the condom dropped to the floor.
Squeezing him tightly Grace chuckled. “I’m on the pill. If you’re clean we don’t have to use them.” Alex’s eyes flew open in shock.
“You’re telling me this now! Babe, I’ve never had sex without one. Ever. I have only slept with five girls in the last five years. There hasn’t been anyone else for a while. If you want me to get tested I will, but I am clean. I swear.” Somehow she believed him. His eyes searched hers, watching for her reaction.
“Well, I guess we’re good to go then.”
The erection that now nudged at her side made her giggle. “Oh my God, Alex! Really?”
Nodding furiously he lay back, lifting her over his hips, causing her to straddle him. He paused momentarily to allow her to steady herself before bringing her down swiftly on to him, filling her completely, revellingin the feeling of being bare inside her. Jeez, this was going to ruin him forever.
Emerging from the shower with a towel wrapped around her she walked into the bedroom. Alex paced up and down the room, already dressed in his trademark ripped jeans, tight fitting T-shirt and boots. The calm, serene man that had left the shower less than ten minutes ago now gone; only to be replaced with this pent up, brooding one. It was reminiscent of the morning she took him to breakfast only worse. Much worse. The entire colour was now gone from his face.
“Is it hot in here? I feel really hot. You need to get dressed, Grace. We have to go in thirty minutes. Are you hot? Is it just me?”
Making her way across the room to him seemed to take her forever. She was desperate to calm him, make him feel better somehow.
“Hey, what’s happening? Alex, look at me. It’s okay. Everything is going to be fine. I thought it was a short set, nothing major. Sixty minutes. Can you get through an hour?” Anxiety now grew in her as she watched him come apart at the seams.
“I don’t know. There is gonna be less than a thousand so it’s only a small venue. That means they’ll be nearer to us. There’s only a makeshift stage so we don’t have the security of knowing they can’t get to us.Anything could happen, you know? They get crazy; it goes fucking mental. I can see it now; the lights will come up and I’ll start singing, they’ll all surge forward, screaming at me or throwing whatever us.” Alex continued to pace in front of her running his hand over his face as he spoke. “I dunno, Grace. I really don’t want to do it. How many people do you think one of the security guys could hold back? I need to make sure there are enough of them to cope.” The sweat beaded on his forehead as his heart crashed in his chest.
“Jeez, Alex, this is madness. Why are you doing it if it makes you feel this bad?” She searched his face, trying to see some shred of the man she was falling in love with. Seeing him like this broke her heart but she had no idea what to say or do to make it better. “Why don’t we head to the venue, take a look at the layout and just see what you think?” Desperation was kicking in now. She knew he had to fulfil this; there wasn’t really an option if he ever wanted to work again. There would be so many bigwigs attending along with the privileged invited few fan club members and competition winners. She had to get him there somehow. Pouring them both a shot of whiskey, she downed hers in one gulp, his nerves now rubbing off on her. Taking her lead Alex downed the shot, sucking in a breath as the amber liquid burned his throat.
“Better?” she asked tentatively.
“Not really but I like your thinking. Get dressed; we have a date with a room layout.” Alex downed another shot as Grace hurriedly threw her clothes on.
Ten minutes later they were in the car, speeding along the motorway towards London. Gripping her hand tightly he was in danger of rubbing the skin from the palm of her hand. The small circles he was drawing with his thumb had stopped being sensual a while ago. They would arrive at their destination in less than forty minutes and she wasn’t even sure he would get out of the car. Watching him chew his fingers she decided that distraction was her only option. Unbuckling her seatbelt she scooted across and climbed onto his lap. Tucking her head in underneath his chin, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her in place.
“You know this isn’t safe. I should make you sit back down and buckle you in. I just don’t think I can let go of you though. Having you with me is like having a piece of heaven.” He ran his fingers through her hair, combing it down her back as she snuggled deeper down.
“When you get on stage tonight just keep thinking that in a few hours we can be back in your bed. Naked, together.” Grinning up at him she saw him relax slightly as he studied her.
“Completely naked and buried deep inside you.” He spoke as he kissed her mouth.
“See, now you have something else to focus on. Just get through it and you can take me home.” She kissed him back, hard, as the car slowed to a stop. Sliding out of his lap she reached up and pulled his sunglasses down over his eyes, kissing his cheek as she did. “Come on then, let’s go check it out.”
She was right about giving him something else to concentrate on. He had no idea how he was going to get rid of the bulge she had just caused in his pants.
As they entered the building through the back alleyway they were met by Chris and Ben. Alex gripped her hand tightly as he introduced her formerly to his manager and then his best friend. Grace smiled sweetly, holding her hand out to shake his manager’s hand before turning to address Ben. Foregoing the handshake the guitarist dragged her into a huge bear hug. “Nice to finally meet you. He hasn’t shut up about you since that damned interview he did for your show. Come and meet the rest of the guys.” Guiding her out of Alex’s grip, he led her down a brightly lit corridor.
“Look, if you don’t mind, I’d rather wait with Alex. I’d like him to introduce me if that’s okay with you.” Grace smiled at Ben who abruptly stopped, spinning them around, and shouted over to the two men standing in the doorway.
“Yo! Al, your girl needs you, buddy.” Ben grinned as he watched Alex spin around and jog towards them, leaving Chris mid-sentence, struggling to contain his anger. Never in the fifteen years that they had been friends had he ever seen him react like that. Alex was never less than polite with everyone. To leave their manager in the midst of a discussion was something he would never do. “Whoa, someone has it bad!” He patted his friend on the shoulder pulling him into a man hug as he did. Releasing himself from Ben’s grip he turned to Grace.
“What is it, babe? What do you need?” he asked, rubbing his hands up and down her arms as he spoke, his eyes searching her face for signs of what was wrong.
“Just you,” she whispered as she rewarded him with a soft kiss. “I thought we were going to check out the venue, sort through the issues? I can’t do that alone.”
