I waited until I was alone before I took out the ruined cell phone. Setting it on the bed, I peeled off my coat and began to strip.

Inevitably, I'd broken my rules every night, pulling up the pictures of Kinsley and wondering if I’d made the right choice leaving her behind. I wanted her, needed her, beyond sanity. Nobody had ever struck such a nerve in me before that I needed to have them in my presence at all times. Now I had nothing to remind me of the way she looked. Of the way she fucked. I wanted to claim her as mine, to ensure no one ever touched her the way I'd touched her. But I couldn't, despite the mere thought of another man putting his hands on her making me see red.

The shower beckoned, and I turned the water on almost as hot as it went, getting in and just standing there. Never having had the chance to fuck her face, I nonetheless pictured the way I'd do it. A hand in her hair, tangling around the mass of waves. Thumb on her chin to force her mouth open, and then I'd slip in until she gagged. Her tongue curling around the head of my cock, licking me and choking on me.

Stroking myself, I pictured her sucking me down, bobbing her head in her eagerness to please me. She'd been so responsive, so open and willing to let me do whatever I wanted. Tugging my balls with my other hand, I felt the orgasm rise within me as I envisioned Kinsley choking on my cum as I spilled it down her throat.

Coming with a grunt, I leaned my forehead against the tiles and tried to catch my breath.

Me and the boys spent most of the next day planning the meeting of the Five Families. We weren't expected at Logan and Anna's house until six, so we took several hours to plan it out.

"Tony is my choice for dead man walking. We'll send a messenger to each of the other four Families outlining the idea."

Logan nodded at Caden. "But are we looking to take them all out, or only the Peraltas? And this doesn't take into account the lower tier assholes."

I tapped the list of names we'd written so far. "We can ensure the higher-ups are there by writing it on the invitation. We have to make it appear as though we're going to attend as well. No out-of-town trips in this time frame, no chatter about anything. We gotta keep it silent."

"And the mid-level creeps?" Logan asked.

"Back to the car bomb idea. Get them all lined up for the same night, maybe a timer instead of a trigger." Caden shuffled some things, pulled out a map. "There's this joint their capos hang out at after a long day of being a douche."

I smirked at the wisecrack. "Someone has to be able to blend in."

Logan nodded. "Rat is our go-to for that. He can get in and get out without anyone seeing him."

"Okay. We'll spend some more time on this, but we need to go."

It took two vehicles with the new men split between us. The windows were so darkly tinted that it would be impossible to know who sat in the back seats. I drummed my fingers on my knees, wishing I'd gone to the phone store for a replacement.

My sister and mother came out of the house to greet us after we passed security at the gate. Father came more slowly, and I noticed his limp seemed more pronounced. I made a mental note to ask my mother about it when I got the chance.

"Burke, are you okay?" Anna asked, wrapping her arms around my waist.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You don't gotta feed these goons, but do you have a place they can sit down?"

"They can go to the den," Logan answered for her.

She nodded. "Sure, that's a good place."

Anna moved off to greet Caden, and I held my arms out to Ma. "How was Chester?"

"Boring," she replied as I hugged her.

"Sounds about right."

"Burke," Father said, coming toward us. "I have a new phone for you."

"You didn't have to do that."

"I didn't, Wyatt did." Wyatt was my father’s personal assistant.

"Well, tell him thanks." I accepted the phone he handed me, seeing that it was a newer version than the one I ruined. I pressed the home screen button, scrolled through a few things, and frowned at the list of contacts.

I said nothing as we headed into the house, but I opened up the picture gallery. I couldn't say I was surprised to see all my pictures there.

Except Kinsley's.

Her number was no longer on my contacts list, either. It made me wonder why anyone would bother to delete them, other than the fact that she was the only girl in there I wasn't related to.
