Her hips surged in my direction, bringing our pelvises closer, tighter, grinding against my hand. "Yes!"

"That's it, baby." Her thundering heartbeat echoed against my ribcage. "Let me give you what you need."

"Need you."

Heart stuttering, I swirled my tongue along the shell of her ear and bit down. "You have me."

Kinsley's breath caught, and I pumped faster, realizing I was so focused on her I'd forgotten about myself. Hips and fingers, teeth and tongue, I used them all to bring her closer to an orgasm while chasing mine.

"You're there, I feel it." Her eyes had rolled back in her head, and my balls tightened.

"So close."

She was; I knew it from the way her walls squeezed my cock. Fuck, I needed her to come so I could let go.

"Ohh, Burke."

The way she said my name as I made her come always did me in, and I let go of the control I’d clamped down on so I could empty my cum inside her. She tightened around me, and I bit her shoulder, holding her while she cried out and her body quivered.

I hummed against her skin, wanting to say the words, but they stuck in my throat. She deserved better than a bastard like me.

"Let's go to dinner tonight." I pushed her wet hair aside, propping my chin on her shoulder and trying, as always, to make up for my failings. "I'll ask Maddie to stay with Finn. Parker can make a romantic dinner for her and Caden."

"If she says yes, where will we go?"

"The dinner club."

"Is it safe to go out right now, even to Algonquin?"

I shrugged. "It's exclusive, and they pay the staff well for their discretion."

"It's a date."

Logan arrived seconds after Kinsley and I made it downstairs. "Three a.m. Carlos and four of his guards."

I nodded. "Let's keep an eye out for Casper."

"Will do."

I put it aside for the day, taking the time to enjoy Kinsley and Finn. There was something brewing, I felt it in my bones. There were always threats looming on the horizon, but I knew this was different. I almost changed our dinner plans, but, as I’d promised her, the club was exclusive and highly secure.

Kinsley chose a dress she hadn't worn yet. It was red, strapless and low cut, with a corset-style waist and flowy sheer panels. I nearly dropped to my knees when I saw her. At times like that, I was flabbergasted that she doubted my attraction for her.

"You look amazing."

Beaming, she blushed. "I love your suit."

I'd chosen a gray three-piece suit with a black tie. "It can't compare to your beauty." I kissed her forehead. "Ready?"

She accepted my outstretched hand. "Yes."

We took the limo. Much like the last time we went to dinner at the club, I had a hard time keeping my hands to myself. While Kinsley spoke of her recently ended college semester, I rubbed my thumb back and forth across her knee.

When we arrived, the maître d' showed us to a cozy spot near the back. Covering the tables were squat glass vases filled with fresh lilies and white candles casting a soft glow. The server brought a basket of bread and left after taking our drink orders.

Kinsley picked up a breadstick and took a bite off the end.

With a grin, I said, "Hey, I was going to take that one."
